Best PhD Thesis Award

Dear Colleagues,

As the Editor-in-Chief of Processes, it is my great pleasure to announce the winner of the Processes 2021 Best Ph.D. Thesis Award. This prize has been awarded to a Ph.D. student who has produced a highly anticipated potential thesis in recognition of his academic excellence.

The award has been granted to the following thesis and its author:

“Integrated Design Framework for Solid Drug Product Manufacturing Processes considering Continuous Technology” by Dr. Kensaku Matsunami, Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis, Ghent University, Belgium.

Dr. Kensaku Matsunami will be awarded CHF 500 and a certificate, as well as a chance to publish one paper free of charge in Processes before the end of 2022.

On behalf of the evaluation committee, I would like to congratulate Dr. Kensaku Matsunami on his remarkable accomplishments. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the nominated research groups for their contributions to Processes and the Award Committee for their participation.
