8–10 September 2021 9th International Workshop on Numerical and Evolutionary Optimization (NEO 2021)

Online Only Event

The goal of the Numerical and Evolutionary Optimization (NEO) workshop series is to bring together people from all optimization fields to discuss, compare and merge their complimentary perspectives. NEO encourages the development of fast and reliable hybrid methods that maximize the strengths and minimize the weaknesses of each underlying paradigm, while also being applicable to a broader class of problems. Moreover, NEO fosters the understanding and adequate treatment of real-world problems, particularly in emerging technologies that affect us.

NEO 2021 will have different special sessions, one of them being the Women at NEO, a platform to encourage the presence of women in Science, in particular in numerical optimization and computing. The goal is to gather young and consolidated female researchers and practitioners to share experiences and paths for possible joint work.

27 September–1 October 2021 International Workshop on Dynamics, Optimization, and Computation

Paderborn, Germany

During the last 25 years, computational techniques for dynamical systems and optimization problems have been developed which allow for the efficient and rigorous approximation of solutions of arbitrary shape and topology. They already have found manifold applications in, e.g., molecular dynamics, engineering, climate research and biology. The goal of this workshop is to bring together international scientists in order to discuss recent advances and explore connections to other techniques. The workshop continues a worldwide series of international workshops started in Mexico City in 2010 and held so far at TUM, UNSW, TUD, U Canterbury, ICL, FUB and UCSB.
