Digital Business, Governance, and Sustainability

A section of Journal of Theoretical and Applied Electronic Commerce Research (ISSN 0718-1876).

Section Information

This section critically examines the intersection of digital business transformation, corporate governance, and sustainable development in the digital commerce ecosystem. We focus on how organizations can leverage digital technologies and governance frameworks to advance Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals, promote circular economy principles, and foster inclusive commerce. The section welcomes research exploring responsible innovation, sustainable consumption and production patterns, green IT implementation, and the societal impacts of digital business practices. Aligned with JTAER's commitment to addressing significant societal problems, we encourage interdisciplinary work that bridges business strategy, technology management, and sustainability science to develop solutions for building more equitable and environmentally responsible digital economies.
