10th Anniversary
The year 2026 marks the 10th anniversary of Inventions, a peer-reviewed open access journal that publishes original scientific research of significance concerning innovation/invention, or patent-based/extended/reviewed research papers in all fields of science, engineering and product development processes. With an Impact Factor of 1.9 and a CiteScore of 4.9, the journal is covered in Scopus, ESCI (Web of Science), Inspec, Ei Compendex and other databases. The journal has published more than 900 papers from more than 2900 authors. More than 1900 reviewers have reviewed the journal at least once. We equally value the contributions made by our editors, authors, and reviewers.
In honor of the journal’s 10th anniversary, we are reflecting on our past accomplishments and embarking on an exciting new chapter. We invite you to join us in celebrating this milestone for our journal and to explore the content we have prepared for you below.
Journal History
The inaugural issue was released. Inventions was published as a quarterly journal.
Inventions was indexed in Inspec (IET).
Inventions was indexed in Scopus—Elsevier, starting with starting with Volume 1, Issue 1.
Inventions was indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)—Web of Science (Engineering Multidisciplinary), starting with Volume 1, Issue 1.
Inventions received the first Impact Factor (3.4).
Inventions adopted a bimonthly publication schedule.
Inventions was indexed in Ei Compendex (Elsevier), starting with Volume 9 (Issue 4).

Meet Us Online at E-conference IOCIV 2026, 25–26 June 2026
We would like to invite you to join E-conference IOCIV 2026, which will be hosted online from 25–26 June 2026. IOCIV 2026 will be free of charge for presenters (and visitors).
This event is chaired by Prof. Dr. Eugen Rusu and will take place entirely online, enabling participation from all over the world with no concerns regarding travel and related expenditures. IOCIV 2026 aims to promote and advance Energy Security and Sustainable Development.
