Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
There has been tremendous growth in the applications of artificial intelligence for healthcare. This is especially true when it comes to healthcare informatics. Healthcare informatics has witnessed a rapid improvement in the application of artificial intelligence especially concerning machine learning and deep learning techniques. Artificial intelligence has also helped the advancement of decision support systems for healthcare, which encompass telemedicine, telesurgery, computerized provider order entry, and cancer treatment. There has also been an intersection of image processing and deep learning to improve healthcare outcomes. Interestingly, more recently, artificial intelligence has also been used for population health analysis for this very purpose.
