Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The rapid advancement of technology is reshaping the landscape of accounting and finance, particularly within emerging markets. Innovations such as artificial intelligence, automation, big data analytics, and Industry 4.0 technologies are transforming traditional practices and redefining decision making. At the same time, growing global emphasis on environmental sustainability, biodiversity preservation, ESG reporting, and responsible finance is placing new demands on firms and regulators. Increasing attention to biodiversity loss has expanded corporate accountability, requiring organizations to assess and disclose nature related risks alongside climate related concerns. These developments create both opportunities and challenges for organizations in emerging economies.
This Special Issue aims to explore contemporary issues at the intersection of accounting, finance, technological innovation, and environmental sustainability. It seeks to provide insights into how digital transformation and sustainability considerations, including biodiversity risks, influence financial reporting, corporate governance, risk management, and investment decisions.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following: AI and automation in accounting and auditing; fintech and digital financial services; blockchain applications; sustainability, ESG, and biodiversity disclosure; nature related financial risks; green finance; Industry 4.0 and financial innovation; cybersecurity and financial risk; data analytics in accounting; regulatory responses; and corporate governance and financial transparency.
