Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Management means, in essence, focusing on results, planning, organization, coordination and evaluation. The central objective of management is to resolve and transform reality, changing material, immaterial and symbolic conditions, aiming at a better future in relation to the present. In the area of health, we want more quality, less disease, more life and, of course, a longer life. Thus, the task of health managers is to provide and facilitate the organization of society and the organizations in which they are inserted to overcome the challenges that prevent us from living longer and better. Some of the main challenges of health management are the epidemiological and demographic transition of the population, financing of health services and systems, development of new technologies, teamwork, promotion of health equity, adoption of new models of management and, more recently, the transition to the post-COVID-19 pandemic era. Considering these issues, articles that address trends and innovations related to health management policies and practices are invited to this Special Issue.
