Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Healthcare information is the foundation of modern medical practices, encompassing patient data, clinical records, and diagnostic information stored and accessed through digital systems. The use of health information and communications technologies (ICTs), such as Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and Health Information Exchange (HIE), has revolutionized the healthcare sector. This research area focuses on optimizing data flow, improving communication between healthcare providers, and ensuring patient privacy and security. As healthcare becomes increasingly data-driven, the importance of effectively managing healthcare information grows. This leads to better patient care, faster diagnosis, more personalized treatments, and enhanced overall patient well-being.
The aim of this Special Issue is to explore the role of healthcare information systems in enhancing patient well-being. It will focus on the integration of digital health technologies, data analytics, and information management to improve clinical decision-making, patient outcomes, and care efficiency. The papers submitted to our Special Issues should align with the scope by emphasizing the intersection of health informatics, data science, and patient-centered care, while addressing emerging trends in digital health, privacy concerns, and the implementation of innovative healthcare information solutions.
This Special Issue welcomes original research papers, empirical studies, conceptual papers, case studies, and systematic review articles that address, but are not limited to, the following topics:
- Role of health ICTs in health information management and patient well-being;
- Medtech/data-enabled technologies in information management for patients;
- Application of big data and artificial intelligence for patient information management;
- Effectiveness of digital technologies in patient information management;
- Innovative digital technologies to improve patient information management and well-being;
- Ethical, legal, and regulatory issues involved in digital health information management.
We look forward to hearing from you.
