Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Health literacy plays a crucial role in shaping health behaviors, improving health outcomes, and supporting effective communication between patients and healthcare professionals. Promoting sustainable health-promoting behaviors requires interdisciplinary approaches that integrate educational strategies, behavioral science, and person-centered models of care. This Special Issue aims to explore theoretical and empirical perspectives on health literacy and health-promoting behaviors across clinical, community, and educational settings. Particular attention will be given to innovative approaches in health professions education, including the development of communication competencies, empathy, and preventive health competencies, as well as strategies that strengthen patient engagement and empowerment. Contributions addressing public health interventions, lifestyle medicine, rehabilitation, physical literacy, and sustainable health promotion are especially encouraged.
We look forward to receiving your contributions.
