1st WoodEX for Africa Conference and Expo

The conference programme will run over three days and delegates will have a choice of four tracks which will run concurrently for the duration of the conference. These parallel sessions will cover a wide range of topics within the Timber Industry. Specialised seminars and AGM"s are also available to trade associations.

Plenary sessions should not be missed as industry experts will be presenting their knowledge on key topics within the industry.

The Conference has Four Main Tracks

1) Industry and Trade

The timber industry is complex and dynamic. Skilled experts in the various fields within the timber industry will share knowledge pertaining to new developments, new products and technical advances. It will include debates around the promotion of the use of timber, positive carbon footprints, development towards green living, timber treatments, machinery and tools - to mention a few.

2) Business and Marketing

Business and marketing surrounding the timber industry is an increasingly popular topic. This track will see key experts providing specialised knowledge around marketing and doing business in the timber industry.

3) Action Based Workshops for Skills Development

In this track delegates will be able to participate in more hands-on and practical demonstrations and training presentations. These presentations are scheduled to run throughout the conference at various times.

4) Specialized Seminars and AGM’s (Industry associations)

Trade associations are welcome to submit applications for hosting seminars which may or may not be directed to specific audiences within the timber industry. This session will also be open to organisational participatory discussion slots for which organisations can apply to share knowledge and experiences.
