Travel Award

As the Editor-in-Chief of Forests, I am pleased to announce the two awardees for the 2017 Forests Graduate Student/Post-Doc Travel Awards. Dr. Paloma Ruiz Benito, a post-doctoral fellow from the University of Alcala, Spain, carries out research to better understand the interactive effects of climate and land use change on forest functioning. Mr. Stephen Murphy, a graduate student from the Ohio State University, USA, studies the complex suite of interactions between individual trees and their environment. We had many impressive applicants for this award, and we congratulate our two recipients. More information about their programs is available on these websites:
