Fibers 2020 Best Paper Award
We are pleased to announce the two winners of the Fibers 2020 Best Paper Awards, sponsored by MDPI and Fibers (ISSN: 2079-6439). Nominations were selected from the papers published in 2020 by the Awards Committee of Fibers. The selection committee is chaired by the Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Martin J. D. Clift. We hope that this award will encourage publication of other high-quality papers in the journal in the future.

As Editor-in-Chief of Fibers, I am pleased to announce the winners of the Fibers Travel Award 2020.
The Postdoc award was granted to Mustafa Raheem, a postdoctoral research fellow at Structural Engineering, Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS, USA;
The Ph.D. student award was granted to Manish Sharma, a Ph.D. student at École de technologie supérieure, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
It was a difficult decision with such high-quality applications for the awards, and we would like to thank all applicants for submitting their diverse and fascinating range of research topics. On behalf of the assessment committee, I congratulate the winners for their accomplishments. We are proud to support these two young scientists and wish further success in their career.

Fibers 2018 Travel Award
Dear Colleagues, dear Researchers,
For the Fibers Travel Award 2018, we received a total of 47 applications from all over the world, of a very high quality. Together with a scientific evaluation committee of experts, we selected the following exceptional applicant as the winner of the Fibers Travel Award 2018:
Dr. Darshil Upendra Shah, a postdoctoral research fellow at Centre for Natural Material Innovation, Department of Architecture, University of Cambridge, 1 Scroope Terrace, Cambridge CB2 1PX, UK.
The award consists of 800 Swiss Francs toward Dr. Shah attending an academic conference of his choice in 2018.
I would like to congratulate Dr. Shah on behalf of the evaluation committee and the Fibers editorial team and thank all candidates for their most interesting applications!

Nominations were selected by the Editorial Office of Fibers based on the number of citations in 2017–2018 from the website with all research articles published in 2017 eligible for consideration.
