Fermentation | New Section “Yeast” Established

Fermentation (ISSN: 2311-5637) is pleased to announce the launch of a new Section: “Yeast”. We have a total of six sections to cover all topics on all research areas of fermentation related to new and emerging products, processes and technologies including biopharmaceuticals and biotech drugs.

The “Yeast” Section of Fermentation serves as a dedicated forum for high-quality original research articles, reviews, short communications, and perspectives encompassing all aspects of yeast science and biotechnology. The Section aims to rapidly disseminate advances across fundamental research and industrial applications, highlighting both established and emerging directions in yeast-based innovation.

This Section is particularly dedicated, but not limited, to the following areas of research:

  • Yeast metabolism, stress physiology, and gene regulation;
  • Yeast systems biology and multi-omics approaches;
  • Microfluidic methods for yeast cultivation and analysis;
  • Yeast metabolic engineering and synthetic biology;
  • Fermentation process development and scale-up;
  • Yeasts in food, beverage, and nutraceutical production;
  • Bioproduction of enzymes, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals using yeast;
  • Adaptive evolution and strain optimization;
  • Yeast-based biosensors and bioelectronic applications;
  • Nanobiotechnology and single-cell techniques;
  • Pathogenic yeast biology and antifungal interventions;
  • Yeast–host and yeast–microbiome interactions;
  • Space microbiology and gravitational biology using yeast;
  • Bioprocess monitoring and automation;
  • Modeling and computational design of yeast cell factories.
