Feature papers represent the most advanced research with significant potential for high impact in the field. A Feature
Paper should be a substantial original Article that involves several techniques or approaches, provides an outlook for
future research directions and describes possible research applications.
Feature papers are submitted upon individual invitation or recommendation by the scientific editors and must receive
positive feedback from the reviewers.
Editor’s Choice articles are based on recommendations by the scientific editors of MDPI journals from around the world.
Editors select a small number of articles recently published in the journal that they believe will be particularly
interesting to readers, or important in the respective research area. The aim is to provide a snapshot of some of the
most exciting work published in the various research areas of the journal.
As Editor-in-Chief of Buildings, I am pleased to announce the winners of the 2024 Travel Award. The award has been granted to Dr. Dadi Zhang, a postdoc fellow at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She will be awarded CHF 600 to attend Indoor Air 2024, to be held in USA on 7-11 July. In addition, Dr. Joana Fernandes Maia, a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Sustainable Construction (ICS), will be awarded CHF 600 to attend Net-Zero Future 2024—the First International Conference on Net-Zero Built Environment: Innovations in Materials, Structures, and Management Practices, to be held in Norway on 19-21 June.
With so many high-quality applicants, the evaluation process and final decision were challenging. We would like to thank all the applicants for submitting their diverse and fascinating range of research topics.
