Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to invite submissions for a Special Issue focused on innovative research and advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal and peri-implant diseases. Over recent decades, extensive basic science and clinical research have underscored the critical link between periodontal health and systemic well-being. Despite this, periodontal diseases remain a global epidemic and a significant challenge for dental professionals.
This Special Issue aims to highlight cutting-edge diagnostic and therapeutic approaches that are rapid and efficient, leveraging advanced techniques and technologies. Contributions addressing epidemiological perspectives and community periodontal health are also welcomed, given the widespread prevalence of these conditions.
We welcome submissions of original research and review articles for the upcoming Special Issue on topics including, but not limited to, the following:
- The application of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in clinical and imaging diagnostics, as well as treatment planning;
- The effectiveness of advanced clinical techniques for diagnosis, treatment strategies, and monitoring treatment outcomes;
- Molecular and cellular biological studies related to periodontal diseases;
- The association between systemic health and periodontal diseases;
- Maintenance therapy approaches, including plaque control and oral hygiene control.
We look forward to receiving your contributions.
