Dear Colleagues,
This Topical Collection “Algorithms for Computer Vision Applications” aims to gather high-quality research articles, innovative case studies, and comprehensive review papers focusing on the design, analysis, and implementation of advanced vision algorithms. As a pivotal pillar of modern industry and research, computer vision is rapidly evolving. We welcome both theoretical breakthroughs and practical solutions tailored for real-world deployment.
With the explosive growth of Artificial Intelligence, contributions integrating cutting-edge Deep Learning architectures, Generative AI, and Large Vision Models (LVMs) are highly encouraged. We invite submissions addressing core and emerging topics, including but not limited to the following:
- Object Detection, Segmentation, and Tracking;
- 3D Vision and Reconstruction;
- Image Restoration and Enhancement;
- Multimodal Learning and Vision–Language Models;
- Edge AI and Real-time Video Analytics.
Applications spanning Autonomous Driving, Medical Image Analysis, Robotics, and Smart Cities are of immense interest. Comprehensive survey papers providing critical insights into future trends are also welcome.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the collection website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Algorithms is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.

Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
