Obituary—Prof. Dr. Daniela di Serafino

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Algorithms Editorial Board Member Prof. Dr. Daniela di Serafino in September 2022. Prof. Dr. Daniela di Serafino was a Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Applications "R. Caccioppoli", at the University of Naples Federico II, Complesso Univ. Monte S. Angelo, via Cintia, 80126 Naples, Italy

From December 2018, she served as the Full Professor of Numerical Analysis, Department of Mathematics and Physics, University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli", Caserta, Italy. Her research mainly focused on the development and analysis of numerical methods and software for scientific computing.

Over the years, Prof. Dr. Daniela di Serafino published more than 50 scientific papers in internationally peer-reviewed journals. The journal Algorithms was very proud to have her on its Editorial Board.

Her death is a significant loss to the academic community as well as anyone close to her. We offer our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and colleagues.
