Cover Story: The 1st International Electronic Conference on Vaccines (IECV 2023), held on 1–15 December 2023, focused on the theme of “RNA Vaccines, Current Challenges and Future Developments”. IECV 2023 provided a platform to examine, explore, and critically engage with issues and advances in the following areas: 1) vaccines to counter anti-microbial resistance; 2) vaccines to eradicate endemic disease—opportunities and challenges; 3) vaccine platforms—advantages and disadvantages; 4) clinical trial design for reactive and preventive vaccination; 5) advances in vaccine formulation and adjuvantisation; 6) clinical view on routinisation of RNA vaccines; etc.
