It is with great pleasure that we announce Eng has received its first official Impact Factor in the 2024 Journal Citation Reports®. With an Impact Factor of 2.4, Eng now ranks 54th out of 175 journals in the “Engineering, Multidisciplinary” category, placing it in Q2—a remarkable achievement for our young journal.
Launched in 2020 [1], Eng has grown steadily thanks to the unwavering support of the scientific community. High-quality submissions from authors, diligent work by reviewers, and the dedicated efforts of our Editorial Board, Editorial Office, and publisher have been instrumental in this journey. Our recent milestones—including coverage in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), Scopus, and Ei Compendex—have culminated in this latest accomplishment. We are confident this will further elevate Eng’s visibility and reputation within the global research community.
As an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal, Eng publishes original research articles, critical reviews, rapid communications, technical notes, and discussions spanning all engineering disciplines. Our mission is to bridge research gaps, foster interdisciplinary connections, and advance solutions to contemporary and future challenges in engineering science and technology.
None of this would be possible without the contributions of our authors, reviewers, and editorial team. To all who have supported Eng, we extend our deepest gratitude.
I look forward to the next milestones for the journal, including our Impact Factor crossing above three and moving more areas covered by the journal into the first quartile. I am confident that the research community will continue to support Eng by submitting high-quality papers for publication. Increasing institutional support and mandates from funding agencies will ensure the success of the Open Access model for the journal in the near future.
