Acacia catechu Bark Alkaloids as Novel Green Inhibitors for Mild Steel Corrosion in a One Molar Sulphuric Acid Solution
Round 1

Dear authors, I found your work very interesting.
However, some adjustments need to be made.
1. In the introduction, it is necessary to clearly add the purpose of the work and the research that will be carried out. The introduction should also be expanded to show the importance of your research and the problem being described in its entirety.
2. In paragraph 2.7, it is necessary to indicate the reference electrode and the counter electrode used in the research.
3. In paragraph 3.2, the surface morphology is given, but its change under the influence of the inhibitors you use is not described. i.e., pictures are provided, but there is no description as such. Also, for surface detail, you need a higher magnification.
4. You have studied the effect of temperature, concentration, and mixing on the properties of the inhibited material. However, this analysis is very superficial. The conclusions after each measurement should explain why the inhibitor is affected in one way or another, and not just postulate the result.
5. On fish 14 along the x-axis, it is necessary to present the scale on a logarithmic scale.
6. In paragraph 3.8, you state the results obtained. In scientific work, a discussion is needed with a description of the influence, a discussion of the mechanism of the process, etc., and not the postulation of the results obtained.
7. Why is the sample with the highest inhibitor concentration the highest corrosion potential?
8. In Table 4, the polarization resistance must be added.
9. For the correctness of the results obtained, it would be interesting to apply the method of impedance spectroscopy and compare the results obtained. Please add it.
10. Conclusions postulate the results obtained without explaining them from a scientific point of view. Expand the conclusions and give theories of the mechanism of the process and the influence of various factors, supporting them with reactions, etc.
11. Correction of the English language is required.

Karki et al studied Acacia catechu Bark Alkaloid as novel green inhibitor for mild steel corrosion in sulphuric acid solution. The authors investigated the corrosion inhibition performance of Acacia catechu by electrochemical methods and surface topography analysis, respectively. The manuscript is innovative to a certain extent, but there are the following problems that need to be revised:
1. The temperature unit in the manuscript is suggested to be replaced by the international unit K.
2. The language in the manuscript needs some improvement.
3. The introduction section needs to be revised and the authors are advised to refer to Colloids and Surfaces A: Physicochemical and Engineering Aspects 645 (2022) 128892.
4. The test rate of the polarization curve in Electrochemical Measurement is not given by the authors.
5. It is recommended to change the symbol of corrosion current density to icorr.
6. More adsorption isotherm models should be discussed, and authors are advised to refer to Journal of Colloid and Interface Science 609 (2022) 838–851.
7. The polarization curve results should be discussed in more detail, such as why the polarization curve is wavy in the manuscript.
8. The conclusion section suggests that the authors present in
