The work deals determination of plant pathogens based on the use of multi-omic approach related to the genus Diaporthe (GD).

The aim is to predict and perform the accurate diagnosis of the GD.

The work is exhaustive and representative covering the latest papers in this area of investigation.

The topic of omics approaches is actual and helps to understand the molecular mechanisms and discovering biomarkers related to different pathophysiological changes.

Remarks

A) 1.3 Omics to Study Fungal Plant Pathogens

Follow the down below up-grade with citation of the recent published reviews in the area of investigation.

“Recent advances in omics approaches such as offer new opportunities to understand molecular mechanisms and searching for biomarkers expression related to different diseases [https://doi.org/10.1080/15422119.2020.1831537, https://doi.org/10.1002/pmic.202200026]. Also in plant pathology, the multi-omics approach as genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics can help mainly in the prevention and management of diseases [96].”

B) Draw a figure involving the main steps in the multiomic approach for the determination of pathogens in the plant sample. This is due to fast understanding for the readers what is the main principle of the approach.

C) In Conclusion, would the authors provide the future aims in this scope of investigation?
