Silica Scaling Inhibition in Water Treatment Process Using Fibrous Al2O3-Nylon 6 Adsorbents
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsThis work reported a novel approach of fibrous Al2O3-Nylon6 composites fibers by wet-spinning process for the purpose of the inhibition of silica scaling. In my opinion, this manuscript was well organized and has been in well-written form execpt for a few issues.
Figures of this manuscript should be of high resolution for well readability.
The letters in the formula should be consistent to the context words.
Note the use of pH with correct form.
Please check out the manuscript carefully to avoid all such mistakes. For example, see line 429 the pH.
The scale bar in Figure 2 is extremely ambiguous, so please replace it with clear bars.
In the Figure 3c, the axis label is not completed in number.

Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsPhan, N. T.T., and his collaborators synthesize and characterize fibers by the wet-spinning process using the coagulation of a methanolic Nylon-CaCl2 solution with Al2O3 powder after immersing the thread-like solution in water.
The article should be accepted after minor revisions:
-In Table 1, the density units should be g/cm3 instead of cm3/g. The same in lines 129 and 131.
-In line 130, elongation has no units.
