Reviewer 2 Report

The paper is an important demonstration of how LES and RANS are two different worlds! The comparison between different turbulence models in the context of interfacial flows for complex and real-world applications is a very interesting research topic.

I feel to recommend the publication of this work on Computation after that the following minor corrections are addressed:

- It seems that the value of the Reynolds number is not given. Could you provide it?
- Could you insert some details in more about the mathematical formulation of the turbulence models that you use in Sec. 2?
- I believe that the following references on recent developments in the LES context could be added to the bibliography:

Girfoglio, Quaini, Rozza, A Finite Volume approximation of the Navier-Stokes equations with nonlinear filtering stabilization, Computers & Fluids, 2019

Girfoglio, Quaini, Rozza, A POD-Galerkin reduced order model for a LES filtering approach, Journal of Computational Physics, 2021

- Be careful to typos (see for example "Fluif" in the title of Sec. 2.2) and review the English style. I recommend a careful reading before the resubmission.
