Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The authors propose a genetic algorithm model based on WNN to predict tomato yield. The study is interesting, but the novelty is missing all over the manuscript. The authors should work more on presenting the main contribution of their work compared to other literature-based ones. Also, the authors are invited to learn about the standard of scientific writing in order to make the paper suitable for publication.

The paper requires the following corrections, first of all the experimental part needs improvement:
- it lacks a detailed description of the models used, their parameterisation, architecture etc;
- then, the results are presented in a too precise way, there is no mention of the average results and their standard deviation, this should be corrected, the results should be performed many times,
- the described theory should find a reference in the models presented in the experimental part, it should be precisely indicated how it is applied, what it contributes, possibly the useless part should be removed from the paper,
- the presented figures, Fig. 1 and 2, are very laconic, unfortunately they do not show backpropagation and WNN in any way, they should be improved or removed,
- the individual blocks of figure 3 should be made more detailed, it is particularly interesting what the decoding is,
Finally it is important that the implementations used are made available to create a reference point for other authors,

Round 2

Reviewer 1 Report

The revised version is adequat for publication.

Reviewer 2 Report

Thank you for introducing my amendments. There is no reference to one of my amendments:

"..it is important that the implementations used are made available to create a reference point for other authors,"

If this is missing from the paper it should be completed before publication.
