Response to Reviewer 1 Comments

Point 1: Line 30 (L)

Response 1:. Has been modified (in green)

Point 2: Line 30 : The ice plant (Mesembryanthemum crystallinum L) is an annual herbaceous plant of 30 the Lampranthus genus in the Aizoaceae family

Response 2: I corrected the sentence-> The Ice Plant (Mesembryanthemum crystallinum L.) is actually a succulent perennial plant, not an annual herbaceous plant. Additionally, but rather in the genus Mesembryanthemum, which is in the family Aizoaceae (in green)

Point 3: Line 45

Response 3. : Has been modified(in green)-> Kang et al

Point 4: Line 47

Response 4: Has been modified (in green)-> Kim et al

Point 5: Line 58

Response 5: Has been modified (in green)

Point 6: Line 63

Response 6:. : I corrected the sentence (in green) First, the antioxidant activity was analyzed by site, and anti-inflammatory experiments were conducted, including the release of cyto- kines and nitric oxide in macrophages, by inducing a strong inflammatory response. Furthermore, a murine macrophage-derived cell line, RAW264.7, became multinuclear  through cell-cell fusion after incubation with purified LPS [10] resulting in an- 66 ti-inflammatory effects on LPS-activated Raw 264.7 cells.--> First, the antioxidant activity was analyzed for each extract, and anti-inflammatory experiments were conducted by inducing a strong inflammatory response in macrophages and measuring the release of cytokines and nitric oxide. Furthermore, the murine macrophage-derived cell line RAW264.7 became multinuclear through cell-cell fusion after incubation with purified LPS [10]. This led to anti-inflammatory effects on LPS-activated RAW 264.7 cells, as evidenced by a reduction in cytokine release and nitric oxide production.

Point 7: Line 70

Response 7: : I corrected the sentence (in green). The ice plants used in this study were purchased from the Yesan Ice Plant Signal 70 Agricultural Corporation (Yesan, Chungcheongnam-do, Korea).-> The ice plants used in this study were purchased from the Yesan Ice Plant Signal Agricultural Corporation in the geographical location referred to in the statement is in South Chungcheong Province, Yesan County, Eungbong-myeon, Gyejeong-ri, South Chungcheong Province, Republic of Korea (ROK), postal code 32446

Point 9: Line 290

Response: I additionally wrote the entire explanation in sentences.( in green)

Also Putrescine is a type of polyamine, a class of organic compounds that are involved in the regulation of cell growth and division, as well as other cellular processes. The metabolite [6-[3,4-dihydroxy-2,5-bis(hydroxymethyl)oxolan-2-yl]oxy-3,4,5-trihydroxyoxan-2-yl]methyl (E)-3-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate, is a type of secondary metabolite. Secondary metabolites are compounds that are not directly involved in the primary processes of life, such as growth, reproduction, and maintenance of cellular functions. Instead, they play a role in other functions, such as defense against predators or competition for resources, the presence of hydroxyl (OH) and methoxy (OCH3) groups suggests that it may have antioxidant or antimicrobial properties. Flavonoids have a variety of functions in plants, including protection against environmental stress, attracting pollinators, and defense against herbivores and pathogens. 2-O-p-Coumaroyl-D-glucose is a type of phenolic compound, which is a group of naturally occurring compounds that contain a phenol functional group. Feruloyl dopamine is a type of phenolic compound, which is a group of naturally occurring compounds that contain a phenol functional group. Nodakenin is a type of flavonoid, which is a group of naturally occurring compounds that are widely distributed in the plant kingdom. It is also known for their antioxidant properties, which can contribute to their protective effects against oxidative stress and other forms of cellular damage. L-DOPA is a neurotransmitter and a metabolic precursor to the neurotransmitter dopamine. It is commonly used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease, a degenerative disorder of the nervous system, because it can increase the levels of dopamine in the brain. Kaempferol is a type of flavonoid, They are also known for their antioxidant properties. Isochinomin is a natural product isolated from the roots of several plant species, including some species of the genus Asarum and Isatis. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties in vitro and in animal studies, making it a potential candidate for development as a therapeutic agent. Negletein is a natural product isolated from various plant species, including some species of the genus Helminthostachys and Allium. It has been shown to have several biological activities, including anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, and anti-viral effects, although more research is needed to fully understand its properties and potential therapeutic applications. Cinncassiol D2 is a natural product isolated from various plant species, including some species of the genus Cassia. It has been shown to have several biological activities, including anti-inflammatory. The following compounds play crucial roles in primary processes of life, such as growth, reproduction, and maintenance of cellular functions: sugars, amino acids, and nucleotides. In contrast, compounds that are foreign to the organism and are not naturally produced by the cells, such as drugs, pollutants, and other chemical agents, are considered exogenous compounds. The body produces and metabolizes compounds, known as endocannabinoids, which are involved in regulating physiological processes. The most well-known endocannabinoids are anandamide and 2-arachidonoylglycerol. Lastly, compounds involved in communication between neurons in the nervous system, such as dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine, are referred to as neurotransmitters.

Reviewer 2 Report

The paper deserves merit on the basis that this kind of research reported the potential anti-inflammatory activity of the ice plant's different organs. For the over-all improvement of the paper, the following are the comments and suggestions:

Title
The title is confusing due to the world "Plant Based" when it is obvious that the study investigated a plant species. I would like to recommend the following title for the consideration of the Authors:
"Comparative analysis on phytochemical properties, anti-oxidative, and anti-inflammatory activities of the different organs of the common ice plant Mesembryanthemum crystallinum L."

Abstract
1. There should be consistency in the Abstract and the rest of the manuscript in the use of "ice plant" rather than "Ice plant".

2. Line 12: "parts" should be "organs" (Replace as well all "parts" with the term "organs" in the rest of the manuscript).

3. Lines 21: "100,300μg/mL" should be written as "100 and 300 μg/mL"; Line 22: "50,100, 300μg/mL" to "50, 100, and 300 μg/mL; Line 23: "100,300μg/mL" to "100 and 300 μg/mL", "50,100μg/mL (p<0.01), 300μg/mL (p<0.05)" to "50 and 100 μg/mL"(p<0.01), and 300 μg/mL (p<0.05)"

4. In the Abstract, the unit for the ethanol extract concentrations were presented in μg/mL but in the Results and Discussions and the Figures the concentrations were presented as ppm. Despite the two units are the same, I am encouraging the Authors to choose only one for the sake of consistency.

Materials and Methods

1. Sample preparation:  Even if the ice plant was purchased from a reputable source, it must be indicated that the plant was taxonomically confirmed. Additionally, the ice plant sample must have a voucher specimen number and the place where the voucher is kept. These should be mentioned.

2. Viability and proliferation of Raw 264.7 cells:  It is not clear when the treatment using the extracts was performed, was it before or after LPS induction?  Also, the plant extracts are the "treatment" and not the LPS which is the inducer of inflammation. Please reconstruct this part clearly.

Results and Discussion

Figure 1: Please change the Y axis label "Cell proliferation" into "Cell viability". "Contol" should be "Control" and the unit ppm should be also changed into μg/mL for consistency.
