A very well-conducted study with important impact on clinical practice.

Methodology is correct, methods well described, and figures comprehensive. I only suggest to add a comment on and spend a few word for comparison with others available ablation methods (RFA and IRE).

Doing so, cite PMID: 30505967

The Authors aimed to evaluate the temperature in the point of high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) application. To my knowledge, this is the first study on this topic, thus filling a gap in the field.

Moreover, it may have a relevant impact on clinical practice. I suggest Shortening the conclusion session and add a short paragraph on study limitation

The authors investigated basis of moderate intensity focused ultrasound (MIFU) for the treatment of pancreatic cancer. In the paper they simulated and experimented MIFU temperature rise using bovine liver. The content is interesting however they need several revisions to the manuscript.

1.      Title of the paper: Final objective would be the application of MIFU to palliative treatment of advanced pancreatic cancer. However, only bovine liver was used in the simulation and experiment. The title should be changed according to the contents of the paper.

2.      During rapid increase of the temperature at the initial phase in Fig. 4-6, what has happened? Wasn’t it the cavitation effect?

3.      Spacing is required between numerical value and unit. (i.e. 125W…)
