Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Interesting article on a topic not yet described.

I have a few comments:

Introduction:

Please add and discuss the item from the literature in terms of the development of degenerative changes in the adjacent joints:

Radiological evaluation of ankle arthrodesis with Ilizarov fixation compared to internal fixation.

Morasiewicz P, Dejnek M, Urbański W, Dragan SŁ, Kulej M, Dragan SF. Injury. 2017 Jul;48(7):1678-1683. doi: 10.1016/j.injury.2017.04.013.

Materials and methods:

Please provide details of the reason for the revision surgery for each patient.

In limitations, please add that the study was performed on a small group of patients and there was a relatively short time from the beginning of the study to CT studies - in order to assess the development of Periprosthetic Bone Cysts .

In the future, it is worth performing a similar study on a larger number of patients and with a longer observation period.
