Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Alvaredo et al. studied the relationship among composition-processing-properties of new developed HEAs. The contents sound attractive. The paper may be considered for acceptance after minor revisions.

1. The alloy composition in insert of Fig 1 and 2 should be checked. "Cr1" was written twice.

2. The enlarged SEM images should be provided in Fig 1 and 2. In particular, the authors should provide the SEM image corresponding to the elemental mapping.

3. Characterization of the HEAs from different devices is shown in Fig 1 and 2. So the captions should be renamed.

4. The scale bar in Figure 5a and b should be added.

6. Fig 5. The authors are suggested to provide the composition of each phase in the two-phase HEA alloy.

7. More new papers published in the field of HEAs in recent two years are suggested to cite.

Reviewer 2 Report

Dear Authors,

O have only 3 minor suggestions:

1) Please ephasize scalebars on all figures. Current size and format of scalebars makes it unreadable.

2) please provide heat rates in K/min units, it looks much better

3) think about collapsing longer allous formulas uning shorter labels

I have also some editorial comments:

4) deg sign ° can be separated or not, but please be consistent using it, see line 272, compare with line 275

5) sizing up some labels is required, to improve this point please print You article on a4 paper and try to guess what is in the pictures.

Reviewer 3 Report

The manuscript submitted by Alvaredo et al. reported that new HEAs has been found and investigated with repect to composition and microstructure during sintering by SPS.
The experiment and anlysis were carried out in a strict condition. The microstructure analysis (TEM, SEM, EDS) and crystal structure analysis support authors' suggestion.

Therefore, I'd like to recommend this manuscript for publication on this journal.

However, the reasons why authors especialy selected the elements and composition  (Fe, Cr, Al, Mo, Ti, Ni) and why authors want to compare with Ni and wihout Ni should be mentioned in the introduction.
