The manuscript should improve in the following lines
- Detailed Geology and Stratigraphy should be given
- Landuse and land cover change is required to be discussed in this context

Thank you very much for your comments to our manuscript entitled "Analysis of seepage characteristics of a foundation pit with horizontal waterproof curtain in highly permeable strata" (Manuscript ID: water-1183188 ). All the comments are quite insightful and valuable to improve the quality of our manuscript. According to the comments, we have checked the manuscript thoroughly and made a substantial revision. We used the "Track Changes" function of Microsoft Word during the modification process. You can clearly see the changes we made in the revised version that we have uploaded.
Based on your comments, we have revised and edited the language of the article. Meanwhile, we adjusted the logical structure of the introduction and added some references. Moreover, other parts of the article, such as results and conclusions, have also been revised. Please see the attachment for the detailed response.

Scientifically interesting content. Very useful content for the civil engineer who has to design deep foundations in an aquifer. Easy to implement methodology that does not require the use of a numerical flow model.
Simple analytical solutions for the design of horizontal waterproof curtains
My remarks are not about the substance but only about the form.
[28] Key words - Perhaps a term should be added to emphasise the theoretical aspect leading to simple analytical solutions for the design of a horizontal waterproof wall
[135] use of the term "permeability" when the correct term would be "hydraulic conductivity". This remark applies to the whole text (one sometimes finds seepage conductivity or other terms)
[113] spelling: "that" instead of "tha
Figure 9 and figure 10: Possibly, in order to better reflect the evolution of the curves at low hydraulic conductivity ratios, it would be necessary to try to make a diagram in semi-logarithmic coordinate (X axis in logarithmic coordinate)
Figure 18: Chinese characters at the level of the horizontal waterprof curtains
Figure 20 and figure 21: North and scale should be indicated
Table 5: missing units for the different items
Figure 22: possibly indicate the base of the deep foundations (-16 m)
Figure 24: spelling in the X-axis heading
[637 - 638] K lower ? or upper ? see [617]
[656] JS25 is not in pit 1
