Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

In this paper, the authors propose a time-varying mechanical analysis of the synchronous and asynchronous integral lifting and a single and interlaced point’s asynchronous integral lifting analysis method of a long-span spatial steel structure. The effectiveness of the proposed methodology is demonstrated by simulating the synchronous and asynchronous integral lifting of the maintenance hangar roof of Chengdu Tianfu International Airport.

The theories in the paper included time-varying mechanical and displacement difference control theory. However, there are insufficient details about these in the paper. It is suggested that the authors make more clarifications on their distinct contributions in the manuscript, from both the theory and application aspects.

1.     Sections 2.2: it is stated that “Kij is the constraint force generated at the additional constraint i under the action of node displacement Δj.” Kij should not be the force. Please check this.

2.     Sections 3: there are too much content on the preparation for Lifting, which can be concise.

3.     Sections 3 and 4: in the simulation of the maintenance hangar roof of Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, it should be compared with traditional methods to illustrate the advantages.

4.     Sections 3 and 4: there should be more examples to illustrate how this method is modeled and applied.

5.     Figure 13: two figures can provide a clearer explanation.

6.     The article should include some mathematical deductions and formula explanations

Reviewer 3 Report

1.        Statement error, the 'assembled tire frame' in section 3.2 should be changed to 'assembled frame' in order to correspond to Figure 2.

2.        “The mesh is 155MPa (less than 345MPa) "in the text below Figure 8. What standard is 345MPa based on?

3.        The H in 'H is the height of the top of the row frame column' is not reflected in Figure 1.

4.        Figure 12 Title expression error.
