Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The paper is very interesting and original, presenting an in-depth and documented literature review on the relationship between the concept of employer branding (EB) and talent management (TM). The methodological approach appears appropriate, though an literature analysis of the last ten years indexed to the two most prestigious databases in the scientific field, WoS and SCOPUS. The use of the PRISMA protocol in the systematic review of the literature is significant in identifying the most relevant studies of the last ten years on the topics. The screening of the papers is clearly described and follows valid scientific criteria (for example, only papers present on ISI Wos and Scopus, wide and complete choice of keywords, appropriate quantity of the sample, validated analysis and accompanied by tables and graphs of the methodology used).

The bibliography used is relevant and updated. The discussion of the results is consistent with the methodology used. The results show that an already positive employer branding is essential for attracting and retaining the best talent, giving the company a competitive advantage. The literature confirms that job seekers are increasingly interested in learning about the culture and values of the company.  In any case, the paper clearly demonstrates and / or confirms how the attraction and retention of talents have become the main concerns of the most competitive companies. The paper, therefore, with a complete and satisfactory systematic review over the last decade, contributes to the improvement of knowledge in this field of study. The academic and managerial implications are varied and important.
