In the original publication [1], the official statement from the Research Ethics Committee of the University of Pernambuco allowing the use of the retrospective data was missing. Although the institutional review board (IRB) information was available beforehand, it was inadvertently omitted from the back matter. The authors agreed to correct the Institutional Review Board and Informed Consent Statements in the Back Matter of the article as follows:
Institutional Review Board Statement: Ethical principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki were adhered to throughout the research process, from conceptualization to dissemination of knowledge and its application in professional practice. The research project received approval from the Research Ethics Committee of the Universidade de Pernambuco, under the Certificado de Apresentação e Apreciação Ética (CAAE) number 86228425.9.0000.5192, on 26 February 2025. The justification was based on the use of secondary data collected from electronic medical records, with no ethical impediment. These approvals were granted in accordance with the protocols submitted by Plataforma Brasil. Ethical aspects were observed in accordance with Resolution no. 466/2012 and Operational Guideline 001/2013 of the Brazilian Health Council (Conselho Nacional de Saúde/Comissão Nacional de Ética em Pesquisa) and Operational Rule 001/2013.
Informed Consent Statement: A waiver of the Informed Consent Form was applied, as approved by the University of Pernambuco.
The authors provided the supporting documentation for editorial consideration. The scientific conclusions are unaffected. This correction was approved by the Academic Editor. The original publication has also been updated.
