The corresponding statement has been updated as follows:
Ref. [15] claims that imports and the development of financial institutions are two factors that raise CO2 emissions in G-10 nations. On the other hand, the study discovered that GDP, exports, the use of renewable energy, and technical advancements all contribute to better environmental quality by reducing carbon emissions. The researchers also discovered a number of causative links: imports, GDP, exports, financial institution deepening, and CO2 emissions are all causally related in both directions, but technical advancements and the use of renewable energy sources are causally related to CO2 emissions in a single direction. Based on these results, the authors advise that in order to lower overall carbon production, officials in G-10 nations should revise their environmental laws to take into account the role of companies and financial markets and encourage the use of energy-efficient technology.
The authors state that the scientific conclusions are unaffected. This correction was approved by the Academic Editor. The original publication has also been updated.
