Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Very nice case report about use of preoperative direct puncture embolization. In my opinion paper is more relevant for practitioners who use preoperative embolization than for physicians who practice diagnosis and treatment of Castleman disease. However, paper is sound, informative and well written. One important missing information is imaging that shows that this was really unicentric disease. Authors need to add information about which imaging studies and what were results showing there was no other lymphadenopathy found (PE/CT, CT or any other modality).

Author Response

Patient underwent a total body CT scan to exclude other localizations of Castleman disease. We added the requested information in the manuscript in the sentences 104 - 105.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

It is not clear which scientific advance readers should have by the reading of this case report. It looks to me a case of malpractice.

Comments on the Quality of English Language

English is fine.

Author Response

This isn't a case of malpractice, but a didactic case.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The authors describe the case of a 27-year-old woman presenting with an hypervascular mass within the right parotid gland. The patient was diagnosed with unicentric Castleman disease of the parotid gland.

Preoperative direct puncture embolization was conducted, without complications, leading to limited risk of intraoperative bleeding.

The manuscript is well-written, and the figures are very informative.

Nonetheless, there are several grammatic and typing errors throughout the whole manuscript, deserving further consideration.
