Dear Editor in chief,

the paper by Kendall et al. is a scoping review exploring the effect of exercise programs on the development of cancer treatment-related cardiac dysfunction (CTRCD) in childhood and adolescent cancer survivors (CACS). Although this population has higher risks of developing cardiovascular abnormalities than healthy children and exercise has well-documented cardiovascular benefits in animal models, healthy children and adult cancer survivors, few exercise intervention trials in CACS have been conducted.

Although the message of this paper is not of such high originality, the cardiovascular benefit of exercise is well documented, it is an important theme to discuss and further investigate, particularly in young cancer survivors, who have significantly higher cardiovascular risks and nowadays often survive for long. The topic is interesting.

The paper is clear and well-written, there are only a few typing errors to be checked. Methodologically is well conducted and the content is interesting.

I would suggest better expanding the introduction regarding the differences in cardiac impairment resulting from chemotherapy between adults and pediatric patients.

Then I would recommend accepting the paper.

A very interesting manuscript clearly showing the clear value of exercise in the prevention of CADS in people who were treated for cancer in childhood and adolescence. The authors analyzed the wide range of publications and drew correct statistical conclusions.
