Teacher well-being is increasingly shaped by rapid technological change in education. As digital innovation accelerates, teachers’ well-being is closely linked to technological self-efficacy, understood as confidence in using digital tools alongside a sense of professional meaning, agency, and control. This qualitative study explores the relationship between teacher well-being and technological self-efficacy through an examination of teachers’ experiences in the “Artificial Intelligence for Beginners” professional development program. Reflective narratives from 18 participating teachers were analyzed to examine how engagement in the program was experienced as supporting the development of techno-pedagogical self-efficacy, professional learning, and well-being. Thematic analysis revealed several interconnected themes, including increased technological confidence and reduced anxiety toward digital innovation, the development of practical applications for personalized learning, heightened awareness of ethical and privacy considerations, and the emergence of a collaborative professional learning community. Participants also reported developing strategies for coping with digital complexity and experiencing a renewed sense of professional identity. Overall, the findings suggest that structured professional development in artificial intelligence may contribute to teachers’ perceived competence, autonomy, and sense of purpose. Strengthening technological self-efficacy through such programs may support individual teacher well-being and the collective professional climate within schools in AI-enhanced educational contexts. To effectively cope with the impact of coal quality changes on the operation of coal gasification units and ensure the stable and efficient operation of coal gasification units, an entrained-flow gasifier was modeled and simulated in this paper. Equilibrium reaction models, reaction kinetics models, and reaction zoning models based on various mechanisms were employed for the modeling. Simulation results for Xinjiang Zhundong Hongshaquan coal with different coal qualities were compared with the actual operation data of the plant using the root mean square deviation (RMSD) method. The deviations of the equilibrium reaction model, reaction kinetics model, and reaction zoning model were 1.14% and 1.09%, 0.65% and 0.61%, and 0.44% and 0.368%, respectively. The comparison results show that all three models can accurately simulate and predict the gasification process of Junggar coal when the coal quality changes. Then, the established models were used to study the influence of the changes in the main parameters of the gasification unit, such as coal slurry concentration and oxygen–coal ratio, on coal gasification. The results show that an increase in coal slurry concentration has a positive influence on the effective gas. The optimal oxygen–coal ratio in the coal studied in this paper is approximately 0.45, which provides strong theoretical support for the subsequent optimization of the coal gasification process and actual production operation. Fabry disease (FD) is an X-linked systemic lysosomal storage disease caused by mutations in the galactosidase-α (GLA) gene, which encodes the α-galactosidase A (α-AGAL) enzyme. FD can lead to serious complications, including early death, if left untreated. For over 20 years, enzyme replacement therapy (ERT) based on the use of agalsidase-α and agalsidase-β has been the standard treatment for FD, alongside new molecules that have enriched the therapeutic armamentarium and others that are being tested to expand it further. Unfortunately, ERT can be associated with the formation of inhibiting antidrug antibodies (ADAs), which impact ERT clinical efficacy and have consequences affecting safety and therapeutic adherence. A group of FD specialists discussed the problem of immunogenicity in FD, analyzing the most recent literature and the strategies that are currently being used to address it. Once formed, fluctuating levels of ADAs persist and have an impact on the clinical picture and prognosis of the disease that is still the subject of lively scientific debate. The critical nature of ADAs is demonstrated by their ability to bind to the enzyme, increasing drug clearance while forming immune complexes that can build up in the tissues causing chronic inflammation that aggravates the progression of the disease and affects the onset of acute reactions after the infusion, impacting therapeutic adherence. Although similar in their therapeutic mechanism, agalsidase-α and agalsidase-β differ in their production process, with resulting differences from a pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic point of view and diverse immunological implications: despite showing rather overlapping efficacy outcomes, agalsidase-α demonstrates a better tolerability profile, with a lower frequency of ADAs, than agalsidase-β. Given the extreme variability of the clinical picture, it is crucial for optimal FD management that the most appropriate molecule is chosen by taking into account the unique immunological risk profile of each single patient, and particular attention should be paid to naïve subjects by periodic measurement of ADAs during therapy and cross-referencing data to correlate serological and clinical patterns. Background/Objectives: Teacher burnout represents a complex cognitive-emotional syndrome characterized by the interplay between mental exhaustion and emotional dysregulation, threatening educational sustainability during crisis periods. This study employed comprehensive behavioral data analysis to investigate burnout syndrome patterns among Greek teachers during the COVID-19 educational crisis, aiming to identify risk factors and resilience patterns through multiple analytical approaches that capture the syndrome’s multidimensional nature. Methods: A cross-sectional study examined primary and secondary school teachers in Western Greece during the autumn of 2021. Stratified random sampling ensured representativeness across school levels, geographic locations, and employment types. Participants completed the Greek-adapted Maslach Burnout Inventory for Educators, which measured emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal accomplishment. Behavioral data analysis integrated traditional statistical methods with advanced pattern recognition techniques, including classification trees for non-linear relationships, association analysis for behavioral patterns, and cluster analysis for profile identification. Results: The majority of teachers experienced high stress with inadequate coping capabilities. Classification analysis achieved high accuracy in predicting burnout severity, identifying emotional exhaustion as the primary predictor. Deputy teachers demonstrated severe cognitive-emotional strain compared to permanent colleagues across all dimensions, with dramatically reduced personal accomplishment and minimal resources. Association analysis revealed that combined low support and high workload more than doubled burnout risk. Three distinct profiles emerged: Resilient teachers, characterized by older age and permanent employment; At-Risk teachers, showing early warning signs; and Burned Out teachers, predominantly young and in precarious employment. Remote teaching, exceeding half of the workload, significantly increased strain. Multiple regression confirmed emotional exhaustion as the dominant syndrome predictor. Conclusions: Behavioral data analysis revealed complex cognitive-emotional patterns constituting burnout syndrome during educational crisis. Employment precarity emerged as the fundamental vulnerability factor, with young deputy teachers facing dramatically higher syndrome probability compared to supported senior permanent teachers. The syndrome manifests through cascading processes where cognitive overload triggers emotional exhaustion, subsequently reducing personal accomplishment. These findings provide an evidence-based framework for early syndrome identification and targeted interventions addressing both cognitive and emotional dimensions of teacher burnout. Full article

Background/Objectives: Chemsex is defined as the intentional use of psychoactive substances to enhance or prolong sexual activity, predominantly observed among men who have sex with men. It has emerged as a notable behavioral and public health concern due to its association with high-risk sexual practices, psychiatric morbidity, and somatic complications. Despite increasing recognition, global prevalence estimates vary widely (3–52.5%) due to differences in study populations and methodology. Commonly used substances include synthetic cathinones, amphetamines/methamphetamines, MDMA, GHB/GBL, ketamine, alkyl nitrites, and PDE-5 inhibitors. Methods: A narrative review was conducted using PubMed through 11 December 2025. Search terms combined chemsex-related terminology, substance names, and health outcomes. Recent English-language publications (2020–2025) were prioritized. Evidence was synthesized thematically across epidemiology, health complications, motivations, and interventions. Results: Chemsex is strongly associated with unprotected sex, multipartner encounters, and prolonged intercourse, leading to significantly increased rates of HIV, syphilis, gonorrhoea, and chlamydia. Psychiatric complications include depression, anxiety, compulsive sexual behavior, and psychosis, with higher risks in individuals engaging in slamming or polysubstance use. Somatic complications vary by substance and include cardiovascular disease, hyponatremia, rhabdomyolysis, ulcerative cystitis, methemoglobinemia, and overdose. Motivational factors extend beyond sexual enhancement and include minority stress, internalized and externalized stigma, and maladaptive coping mechanisms. Integrated interventions combining harm reduction, cognitive–behavioral therapy, peer-led services, and pharmacotherapy, alongside digital health tools to support PrEP adherence and risk reduction, show promise in mitigating these harms. Conclusions: Chemsex represents a complex interplay of biological, psychological, and sociocultural factors that contribute to elevated STI risk and psychiatric and somatic morbidity. Addressing chemsex requires destigmatized, multidisciplinary approaches that integrate behavioral, pharmacological, and community-based interventions. Digital health innovations can further enhance engagement, risk reduction, and access to timely care. Full article

(1) Background: Professional burnout threatens secondary school principals’ well-being and educational quality worldwide. This study investigated burnout prevalence and gender differences among Greek secondary school principals, addressing gaps in understanding gendered manifestations of burnout in educational leadership. (2) Methods: A census survey was conducted with 54 secondary school principals (68.5% male, 31.5% female) from Fokida Prefecture, Greece. The Maslach Burnout Inventory-Educators Survey assessed three burnout dimensions. Mann–Whitney U tests examined gender differences, with effect sizes calculated for practical significance. (3) Results: Emotional exhaustion was prevalent among principals regardless of gender. Significant gender differences emerged in depersonalization, with male principals showing higher emotional distancing (small-to-medium effects). Female principals demonstrated significantly higher personal achievement, maintaining professional efficacy despite equivalent exhaustion. (4) Conclusions: These preliminary findings suggest that while workplace stressors create universal emotional exhaustion, gender shapes burnout manifestation through different coping pathways. Male principals appear more prone to emotional distancing, while female principals sustain achievement through maintained engagement. Pending replication in larger samples, findings support the need for gender-sensitive interventions alongside systemic organizational reforms. Full article

To address the high volatility of spot market prices and the feature extraction limitations of single models, a short-term electricity price forecasting method based on a reinforcement learning dynamic soft ensemble strategy is proposed. First, a complementary dual-branch architecture is constructed: the CNN-LSTM-Attention branch mines local temporal features, while the Transformer branch captures long-range global dependencies. Second, the Q-learning algorithm is introduced to model weight optimization as a Markov Decision Process. An intelligent agent perceives fluctuation states to adaptively allocate weights, overcoming the rigidity of traditional ensembles. Case studies on PJM market data demonstrate that the proposed model outperforms advanced benchmarks in MAE and RMSE metrics. Notably, prediction accuracy is significantly improved during price spikes and negative price periods. The results verify that the strategy effectively copes with market concept drift, supporting reliable bidding and risk mitigation. Full article

Background: Spine surgeries present challenges for patients, including postoperative pain and difficulties with mobilization. Studies indicate that fear and anxiety prolong recovery; multidisciplinary care, including psychoeducation, which informs patients about their condition, addresses emotional challenges, and teaches coping strategies have benefits on recovery. Objectives: This study investigated whether preoperative psychoeducation improves outcomes in spinal surgery by reducing postoperative analgesic use and accelerating mobilization, with the hypothesis that it decreases medication needs and shortens recovery time. Methods: Data of 100 patients operated on spinal disease were analysed: 50 of them underwent microscope-assisted discectomy for lumbar disc herniation (LDH), and 50 were treated with transpedicular posterior lumbar interbody fusion (PLIF) for monosegmental instability. Each group was subdivided into a psychoeducation group (N = 25) and a control group (N = 25). All patients completed the Surgical Fear Questionnaire (SFQ). Postoperative analgesic use and time to mobilization were analysed. Results: Patients receiving psychoeducation in both groups reported lower preoperative anxiety, required fewer analgesics, and, in the PLIF group, achieved earlier mobilization. A strong correlation was found between SFQ scores and analgesic consumption (p < 0.01). Discussion: Preoperative psychoeducation reduced anxiety, decreased postoperative analgesic use, and enhanced mobilization, suggesting clinical and economic benefits if integrated into standard care. Women in resource-scarce communities navigate daily scarcity, structural neglect, and gendered violence, leaving profound but often invisible impacts on mental and reproductive health. Women play an active role in the Water–Energy–Food (WEF) space; they provide water, food, and household security daily. This study investigates how chronic deprivation across the WEF nexus shapes experiences of psychological distress, reproductive vulnerability, and social marginalization in South African settings: Lorentzville, a migrant urban informal settlement, and Mqanduli, a peri-urban Eastern Cape community. Using ethnographic methods, including in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and participatory observation, and an analytical framework combining structural violence and feminist political ecology, we show that insecurity over water, energy, and food constrains reproductive autonomy, amplifies self-reported symptoms of anxiety and depression, and drives coping and adaptation strategies such as informal work, transactional sex, and fragile social support networks. These strategies, while mitigating immediate risks, cannot fully offset systemic harms. By foregrounding women’s lived experiences, this study extends the WEF nexus framework to include embodied, emotional, and reproductive dimensions, linking historical legacies of colonial and apartheid neglect to contemporary inequities. The findings offer critical insights for integrated health, social, and resource policy interventions that center on gender, care, and justice within environmental, wellbeing, and livelihood. Amid the uncertainties of the post-pandemic era, there has been a notable rise in information addiction among individuals, which may function as a coping mechanism in response to perceived situational threats. Family cohesion can function as a protective factor against internet addiction. However, the mechanism by which family cohesion mitigates internet addiction remains largely undiscovered. The study aimed to reveal the role of family cohesion in increasing information addiction behavior and the mediating effects of mindfulness and anxiety in this epidemic. A total of 1043 college students completed an online questionnaire including the Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scale (FACESIII), State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS), and Information Addiction Scale. (1) Family cohesion and information addiction exhibited a negative correlation; (2) mindfulness and anxiety functioned as mediators within this association; (3) stronger family cohesion was predictive of reduced information addiction behavior through a chain mediating effect, whereby mindfulness negatively predicted anxiety. These findings substantiate the study’s theoretical framework, underscoring the interconnected nature of information addiction during crises. Full article

Based on leadership narratives collected between 2022 and 2025, this article examines how Ukrainian non-military organizational and community leaders who have remained in the country during the ongoing war interpret, embody, and enact theological meaning within their lived leadership experience. Drawing on two qualitative datasets—one collected in 2022 (n = 145) and a second in 2025 (n = 79)—the study employs a lived theology approach together with a reflexive thematic analysis to explore how theological meaning emerges organically as stated in leaders’ accounts of suffering, responsibility, presence, and hope. The findings indicate that participants articulated three overarching movements of lived theology: lament, leading to dependence on God; the sensed presence of God, leading to social solidarity and shared responsibility; and hope in God, orienting leaders toward post-war restoration. These movements function not as abstract or institutionally authorized doctrines, but as dynamic theological orientations generated through lived theological reflection as leaders connect their perceptions of God with the realities of wartime life. The study contributes to practical theology by demonstrating how theological reflection arises from concrete leadership practices under conditions of war. It further advances leadership studies by showing how theological sense-making, suffering, and responsibility converge in the lives of ordinary people—leaders and followers alike—forming a shared spiritual orientation that sustains communal life amid war and nurtures hope for post-war renewal. Background/Objectives: Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition with an increasing life expectancy in recent years. As a result, addressing psychosocial aspects in this population has become an increasingly important concern. This mixed-methods systematic review aimed to update the current knowledge on the psychosocial aspects of living with CF in adults. Methods: Following PRISMA guidelines, a literature search was conducted in November 2024 across several databases, including Scopus, ScienceDirect, Academic Search Complete, MEDLINE, Supplemental Index, Complementary Index, APA PsycInfo, Business Source Complete, SciELO, and the Directory of Open Access Journals via EBSCO. Results: Of the 701 articles retrieved, 24 were analyzed, including a total of 2023 participants (mean age: 31.2 years; 57.2% female). Quantitative findings identified optimistic coping as the most frequent strategy associated with improved survival. High social support and gratitude emerged as key factors for treatment adherence and quality of life, while depression remained the primary mental health concern. Qualitatively, the findings highlighted concerns with adult life transitions and financial stressors. Participants described experiences of social stigma and embarrassment linked to chronic symptoms, often leading to selective disclosure to avoid discrimination. Conclusions: This review confirms that psychosocial factors are central to the adult CF experience, shifting the focus beyond biological survival and highlighting areas that require clinical intervention. As life expectancy increases, clinical care must evolve to incorporate interventions that address these factors to improve mental health and overall quality of life (QoL), ensuring that patients are supported through the unique challenges of extended adulthood. Background/Objectives: The 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake in Japan severely affected community care for persons with psychiatric disabilities. This study analyzed the difficulties and adaptive coping strategies of psychiatric visiting nurses (PVN) to inform disaster mental health practice. Methods: A qualitative, descriptive design was used. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with six PVN, and the data were analyzed thematically. Results: Key findings indicated two main challenges: a system-level paralysis of care owing to infrastructure collapse and the ethical dilemmas experienced by the role of PVN as “dual victims.” In response, nurses leveraged pre-existing therapeutic relationships to ensure care continuity and acted as essential liaisons to external teams. The study also documented substantial and unexpected patient resilience. Conclusions: Based on the findings, this study’s primary contribution is a recommendation to reframe disaster policy by shifting focus from merely deploying external aid to empowering existing, trusted community care networks and adopting a strengths-based model for mental health support.
