Wheat, soybean, and peanut are recognized as major food allergens, with their prevalence rising globally, necessitating rapid and reliable detection methods. A new detection approach was developed in this research, which integrates Ladder-shape Melting Temperature Isothermal Amplification (LMTIA) with Proofreading Enzyme-Mediated Probe Cleavage (Proofman) technology to enable the concurrent identification of wheat, soybean, and peanut allergens. Compared with the loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) method under the experimental conditions set in this study, this approach can reduce the false-positive results associated with LAMP, and it does not rely on sophisticated instrumentation required by technologies like mass spectrometry. The GAG56D (wheat), Ara h 2.01 (peanut), and Lectin (soybean) genes were selected as target genes for the three allergens. Specific primers and probes were designed according to these target genes, and the reaction system was optimized. A systematic evaluation of the triplex Proofman-LMTIA method was then conducted regarding its specificity, sensitivity, limit of detection, and repeatability. Finally, the method’s practical applicability was validated using commercial products. The optimized system achieved simultaneous detection within 40 min at 61 °C, showing no cross-reactivity with common foods. The method demonstrated good sensitivity, with a sensitivity of 5 pg/μL for genomic DNA and a detection limit of 5% (w/w) in a powder matrix, along with excellent repeatability. In practical sample testing, the results were fully consistent with product label declarations, accurately identifying single and multiple allergen contaminations. The Proofman-LMTIA detection method, with its rapid, simple, sensitive, and specific characteristics, demonstrates significant potential for applications in food safety supervision. Full article

This study examined the complex relationships among task complexity, task-specific emotions, and learners’ L2 writing performance. Sixty-one Chinese EFL learners were divided into two groups and completed two writing tasks in a counterbalanced order. They reported their perceptions about task complexity and their emotional experience during the task after completing each task. The results revealed that (1) task complexity exerted a significant negative effect on learners’ writing performance in terms of content, but no significant effects on language use, organization and communicative achievement, or overall writing performance; (2) task complexity did not significantly affect learners’ task enjoyment, task anxiety or task boredom; (3) task-specific emotions did not predict learners’ overall writing performance in the simple task, while task anxiety exerted a significant negative effect on learners’ performance in the complex task. These results are discussed with reference to the Cognition Hypothesis and the Control-Value Theory, particularly the intensified role of affect under increased cognitive demands and the negative impact of task anxiety on writing performance, offering pedagogical implications for L2 writing. Background/Objectives: Previous research demonstrates higher sodium retention with increasing levels of dietary salt in some populations. Our objective was to determine whole-body sodium retention and sodium distribution on high and low salt diets using rodent models. Methods: Whole body retention of orally dosed Na-22, a gamma emitter, was measured in female growing and adult Sprague-Dawley rats on high (3.1% by wt. of diet) and low salt (0.13% by wt. of diet) diets. In a second study, whole-body sodium retention was compared between destructive inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES) and neutron activation analysis (NAA) in adult male and female C57BL/6 mice. Results: Whole body retention of Na-22 was not different due to the age of rats on a high salt diet, but rats fed the high salt diet excreted Na-22 much more rapidly than rats fed a low salt diet. In mice, neither sodium retention nor tissue distribution was affected by dietary salt. Bland–Altman analysis indicated overall agreement between NAA and ICP-OES measurements, with observed systematic positive bias. Conclusions: Dietary salt had little effect on retention in normotensive rodents and should be studied in hypertensive models. Full article

Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RSs) are pivotal hubs in modern intelligent logistics, yet their operational efficiency is often constrained by the complex coupling of storage allocation, equipment scheduling, and path planning. This study proposes a systematic optimization framework to address these three critical control challenges. First, a multi-objective mathematical model for storage location allocation is established, considering efficiency, stability, and correlation. To solve this high-dimensional discrete problem, a Tabu Variable Neighborhood Search (TVNS) algorithm is proposed, integrating short-term memory mechanisms with multi-structure exploration to prevent premature convergence. Second, regarding stacker crane and forklift collaborative scheduling, a Pheromone-guided Artificial Hummingbird Algorithm (PT-AHA) is introduced. By incorporating pheromone feedback into foraging behavior, the algorithm significantly enhances global search capability to minimize total task completion time. Third, stacker crane path planning is modeled as a constrained Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) and solved using a hybrid Simulated Annealing-Whale Optimization Algorithm (SA-WOA). Quantitative simulation results demonstrate that the TVNS algorithm improves storage allocation fitness by 1.1% over standard Genetic Algorithms, while the PT-AHA reduces task completion time (Makespan) by 21.9% for small-scale batches and consistently outperforms ACO by up to 3.6% in large-scale operations. Validation through an Intelligent Warehouse Management System (WMS) confirms that the integrated framework maintains high industrial resilience by triggering fault alarms and initiating recovery within 3.2 s during simulated equipment failures, providing a robust solution for enterprise-level deployments. Problem: Controlling nonlinearly parameterized systems with unknown disturbances remains challenging because classical adaptive approaches rely on separation-of-variables and reparameterization techniques, leading to increased parameter dimensions, conservative stability bounds, and implementation complexity. Objective: This paper develops a data-driven predictive fuzzy adaptive control (DD-PFAC) framework that eliminates the need for separation techniques while achieving superior tracking performance and formally certified stability. Novelty: The key innovation is a two-layer architecture. Layer 1 provides direct fuzzy approximation of composite nonlinear functions (system dynamics plus disturbance bound) without parameter reparameterization, reducing parameter complexity from O(qn) to O(nN). Layer 2 employs Hankel matrix-based predictive optimization to adaptively tune both control gains ci(k) and adaptation rates γi(k) online using 80–150 recent input–output samples. Methodology: A Lyapunov function augmented with a prediction-error term is used to prove uniform ultimate boundedness of all closed-loop signals. A projection-based recursive least-squares algorithm updates the gain parameters online while guaranteeing ci(k)cmin>0 at all times. Results: Comparative simulations demonstrate 31.4% reduction in integral square error, 27.8% reduction in mean absolute error, and 37.4% reduction in steady-state error versus traditional adaptive fuzzy control. A four-group ablation study confirms that adaptive gain scheduling contributes 27.7% and predictive compensation contributes 6.5% to the total MAE improvement. Robustness tests validate consistent 28–32% performance advantage across sinusoidal, pulse, step, and large-disturbance scenarios. Full article

Against the backdrop of uneven educational development and structural constraints in rural Mainland China, teacher agency is critical for driving professional growth and instructional improvement. Rural educators face distinct challenges—limited resources, isolated work contexts, and systemic pressures—that shape their capacity to enact change. While scholarship has documented the roles of contextual resources and individual beliefs in shaping teacher agency, less is known about the mediating mechanisms linking job resources and self-efficacy to agency within China’s rural educational landscape. This study examines how perceived job resources (teaching resources, administrative support, colleague support, parental support) and teaching self-efficacy collectively shape rural teachers’ agency, to inform policy and practice for strengthening their professional capacity. Drawing on a quantitative survey of 625 rural teachers, we employ a two-stage analytical approach: first, descriptive statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, and Pearson correlations to map baseline variable relationships; second, Hayes’ PROCESS macro (Model 4) with bootstrapping to test the mediating role of teaching self-efficacy between job resources and teacher agency. Findings reveal the following: (1) Rural teachers report moderate agency (M = 3.53/5), indicating room for growth; (2) All four job resource dimensions significantly and positively predict agency (β = 0.099–0.163); (3) Teaching self-efficacy is a robust predictor of agency (β = 0.785–0.822, p < 0.001) after controlling for resources; (4) Self-efficacy partially mediates the links between each job resource and agency, with indirect effects ranging from 0.269 (teaching resources) to 0.451 (colleague support), highlighting its central role in translating contextual resources into agentic action. We conclude that fostering rural teacher agency requires a holistic approach addressing both external job resources and internal self-efficacy. Policymakers and administrators should prioritize investments in teaching resources, collaborative support structures, and professional development to build educators’ confidence and competence. Limitations include self-report bias, cross-sectional design constraints on causal inference, and limited generalizability. Future research should use longitudinal designs and broader samples to deepen understandings of agency in structurally constrained educational settings. Full article

With the increasing functional and geometric complexity of modern steel buildings, irregular beam-to-column joints are becoming increasingly common in engineering practice, while their seismic performance and force transfer mechanisms remain insufficiently understood. Based on previous full-scale cyclic loading tests on unequal-depth steel beam (UDSB) and staggered steel beam (SSB) joints incorporating inclined internal diaphragms, this study presents numerical simulations and parametric analyses of irregular steel beam to concrete-filled steel tube (CFST) column joints. Three-dimensional nonlinear finite element models were developed using ABAQUS and validated against experimental results. The strengthening effects of internal diaphragms and concrete infill were then comparatively investigated. The results indicate that internal diaphragms increase the initial stiffness and load-carrying capacity of the joints to approximately 2.0–2.3 times and 1.16–1.8 times, respectively, compared with joints without diaphragms, whereas concrete infill provides smaller enhancements of about 1.3 times in stiffness and 1.2–1.3 times in strength. In addition, the hysteretic response of joints without diaphragms shows good agreement with the post-fracture behavior observed in the experiments, validating the diaphragm fracture mechanism. A parametric study further demonstrates that, under cyclic loading, the beam depth ratio, staggered floor ratio, column wall thickness, column width, diaphragm thickness, and diaphragm opening diameter have significant influences on joint strength and stress distribution, while the effect of axial load ratio is relatively minor. Finally, a strength prediction method applicable to inclined-diaphragm UDSB and SSB joints is proposed, and corresponding fitted expressions are derived based on the parametric results. The findings provide useful guidance for the seismic design of irregular steel beam–CFST column joints incorporating internal diaphragms. Full article

The textile industry wastewater contaminated by azo dyes usually contains a certain amount of salinity. Therefore, screening for microorganisms capable of degrading azo dyes in saline environments is of great significance. In this study, the decolorizing activity of azo dye methyl red (MR) by Klebsiella aerogenes WH2 (WH2), newly isolated from soil, was evaluated. WH2 was able to decolorize 92.4% and 86.0% of MR at concentrations of 200 mg/L and 300 mg/L within 24 h, respectively. Given that WH2 exhibited enhanced growth and superior degradation capacity in the presence of 2.5% NaCl compared to salt-free conditions, it can be classified as a slight halophile. Approximately 87.7% of MR was removed by WH2 in the presence of 10.0% NaCl within 24 h. Azoreductase activity assays indicated that WH2 retained higher enzyme activity in the presence of NaCl concentrations not exceeding 7.5%. The degradation products and putative metabolic pathways for MR degradation by WH2 were analyzed using FTIR and LC-MS. Phytotoxicity analysis based on seed germination of Vigna radiata indicated that the degradation products of MR exhibited less toxicity than the parent compound. The high degradation efficiency of MR under high salt concentrations makes WH2 a promising candidate for the treatment of saline textile wastewater. Full article

Cu/Ni/Ag composite materials are widely used in the manufacturing of electrical connector contacts due to their excellent electrical conductivity and good wear resistance. During hot plugging and unplugging operations, electrical connectors inevitably generate arc discharge, leading to melting, splashing, and erosion of the contact material, which severely threaten system reliability and service life. To investigate the arc behavior of Cu/Ni/Ag composite electrical connectors during plugging and unplugging, this paper establishes a multiphysics coupling model incorporating electric field, fluid heat transfer, and laminar flow based on the COMSOL simulation software (version 6.2). The model employs a multiphysics coupling approach, incorporating electric field, fluid heat transfer, and laminar flow, to systematically simulate the formation and evolution mechanisms of the arc during plugging and unplugging. The study focuses on analyzing the effects of plugging and unplugging speed, operating voltage, and arc gap distance on the arc, exploring the temporal and spatial evolution characteristics and distribution patterns of arc temperature. The simulation results reveal that the arc temperature follows a radially decreasing gradient, with the core region exceeding 10,000 K. When the operating voltage increases to 1000 V, the arc peak temperature rises to 1.3 × 104 K. As the arc gap distance increases, the arc coverage area expands, and the peak arc temperature increases by approximately 2% to 8%. As the plugging/unplugging speed is increased to 500 mm/s, the peak temperature of the arc increases from 1.19 × 104 K to 1.3 × 104 K. The distribution characteristics of the magnetic field are clearly correlated with the arc temperature field and the electric field intensity distribution and the current density also exhibits typical constriction characteristics. Prolonged arc duration is correlated with an upward trend in peak temperature. Further analysis indicates that the temperature distribution characteristics of the arc are constrained by the competition mechanism of energy deposition and diffusion, while the evolution characteristics of the arc are regulated by the coupling effect of electromagnetic field and mechanical work. The research results provide a theoretical basis and simulation methods for the design of arc-resistant structures in Cu/Ni/Ag composite electrical connectors. Full article

To investigate the multi-factor aging mechanisms of silicone rubber used in the outer sheath of composite bushings, this study focused on HTV silicone rubber employed in the sheath layer of 1100 kV high-voltage bushings. The samples were subjected to temperature–humidity–corona coupled aging in a multi-factor aging platform. The aged samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive spectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, hydrophobicity measurements, hardness tests, and dielectric constant measurements. The results indicate that different aging factors affect the material differently. Corona aging primarily affects the sample surface, leading to substantial methyl group detachment, surface oxidation, and a decrease in hydrophobicity, with the local static contact angle decreasing by up to 70%. In contrast, wet heat aging affects the bulk material; under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions, the internal small-molecule chains accelerate silicon-oxide crosslinking, leading to a marked increase in hardness and a relative dielectric constant that initially decreases and then increases. Considering the complex field environment, surface performance measurements are easily influenced by external factors. Therefore, hardness and relative dielectric constant are proposed as key indicators for evaluating the aging degree of silicone rubber sheaths in service. The findings provide a valuable reference for the service-life evaluation of composite bushings. Full article

Background/Objectives: High-altitude pulmonary edema (HAPE) remains a serious condition with limited preventive options. This study evaluated the prophylactic protective effects of nebulized human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles (hUC-MSC-EVs) in a rat model of hypobaric hypoxia-induced lung injury and explored potential mechanistic clues, with a focus on oxidative stress and TEK/Tie2 signaling. Methods: Rats were exposed to hypobaric hypoxia (47 kPa; 9.7% O2) for 72 h and received prophylactic nebulized hUC-MSC-EVs (300 μg/rat). Lung injury was evaluated by histopathology, wet-to-dry ratio, and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) protein concentration. Invasive pulmonary function indices were measured using a forced oscillation system. BALF cytokines (TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-10), reactive oxygen species (ROS), and TEK/Tie2 expression in lung tissue were assessed. In addition, transcriptome sequencing (RNA-seq) was performed to characterize global transcriptional changes. N-acetylcysteine (NAC), a classical antioxidant, was included as an auxiliary mechanistic intervention to assess the association of ROS with TEK/Tie2 changes. Results: Compared with hypoxia controls, prophylactic nebulized hUC-MSC-EVs reduced histopathological injury, pulmonary edema, and barrier leakage, and improved pulmonary function indices. hUC-MSC-EV intervention also attenuated inflammatory responses in BALF, with decreased TNF-α and IL-6 and increased IL-10. Hypobaric hypoxia increased ROS accumulation and decreased TEK/Tie2 expression, whereas nebulized hUC-MSC-EVs reduced ROS and partially preserved TEK/Tie2 expression. NAC pretreatment similarly reduced ROS and was accompanied by Tie2 preservation. Conclusions: Prophylactic nebulized hUC-MSC-EVs mitigated hypobaric hypoxia-induced lung injury, accompanied by reduced oxidative stress, improved vascular barrier integrity, and preservation of TEK/Tie2 expression. These findings support nebulized hUC-MSC-EVs as a potential lung-targeted prophylactic strategy for hypobaric hypoxia-induced lung injury and suggest that ROS imbalance may be associated with Tie2 preservation. Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-based hyperspectral imaging (HSI) has been increasingly utilized for fine-scale surface characterization and quantitative retrieval due to its capability of capturing dense spectral information at ultra-high spatial resolution. However, UAV-HSI analysis remains challenging due to high dimensionality, noise and within-class variability, as well as limited cross-flight consistency under varying acquisition conditions. Deep learning (DL) has therefore attracted growing attention by enabling spectral-spatial representation learning and more robust inference under residual degradations and domain shifts. This review summarizes DL approaches for UAV-HSI analytics and organizes the literature along a complete workflow, from imaging principles, preprocessing, and correction to DL architectures, core tasks, and representative applications, to provide guidance for future research and applications. The novel strain TD-94 with higher ammonia degradation efficiency was isolated from the activated sludge of SINOPEC and belongs to the family of Alcaligenes faecalis (A. faecalis) based on its 16sRNA sequence and physio-biochemical characteristics. It is a Gram-negative, highly heterotrophic aerobic ammoxidation bacterium that is capable of effectively treating ammonia-nitrogen wastewater. The genome size of strain TD-94 was 4,361,949 bp with a GC content of 56.47% and a total of 4101 genes, which accounted for 89.54% of the total genome length. Analysis of various databases showed that 649 genes were annotated in the GO database; a total of 2712, 4095 and 12 genes were annotated in the KEGG, COG, and ADRB databases, respectively; and there were 24 types of cytochrome P450, 477 signal peptides, and eight secondary metabolites. All these data provide a theoretical basis for the mechanism of action of the strain TD-94. Based on the whole-genome sequencing results, functional genes related to nitrogen metabolism in A. faecalis TD-94, including aerobic ammonia oxidation (AOB), hydroxylamine oxidoreductase (HAO), and pyruvic oxime dioxygenase (POD) were identified. Through growth curve analysis and the identification of functional genes, the nitrogen metabolism pathway of A. faecalis TD-94 was proposed, demonstrating that the strain TD-94 has good denitrification capabilities and a novel degradative pathway. Legged robots are widely used for walking, running, jumping, and landing on the ground. As mission terrains become increasingly complex, legged robots with greater adaptability are required. However, limited research attention has been paid to enhancing their impact resistance and obstacle-surmounting capabilities. Due to the limitations of motor manufacturing and material, it is more difficult to improve the impact resistance of the motor than to design proper leg lengths. Considering rigid multi-link medium- and large-sized legged robots, we optimize leg lengths to minimize the impact torque on leg joints. An optimal leg-length combination that maximizes obstacle-surmounting capability for medium- and large-size multi-link legged robots is conducted. This research provides a concrete design basis for leg-length optimization in medium- and large-sized multi-link legged robots with the aim of improving impact resistance and obstacle surmounting. The coordinated development of achenes and receptacles in strawberry is critical for seed dispersal and fruit quality, yet the underlying molecular mechanisms remain poorly characterized. Utilizing RNA-seq analysis during the ripening transition stage, we identified pronounced transcriptomic divergence between achenes and receptacles, with receptacles exhibiting more dynamic gene expression shifts. Intriguingly, a substantial subset of differentially expressed genes (DEGs) displayed antagonistic expression patterns between these tissues, including the cytokinin degradation gene cytokinin oxidase/dehydrogenase 1 (FvCKX1), which was highly expressed in both tissues but with opposing temporal trends. Functional interrogation via transient silencing and overexpression revealed a tissue-specific regulatory role for FvCKX1. RNA interference (RNAi) suppression of FvCKX1 significantly enhanced receptacle expansion but delayed achene maturation, whereas overexpression inhibited receptacle growth while accelerating achene ripening. Abscisic acid (ABA), which positively regulates fruit enlargement, was elevated in FvCKX1 RNAi receptacles and notably reduced in overexpression fruits, indicating that FvCKX1 might negatively modulate ABA synthesis during strawberry fruit development. Our results demonstrate that FvCKX1 may function as a key regulator mediating the coordinated development between achenes and receptacles in strawberry. Full article
