With the rapid development of the economy, data have become a new production factor and strategic asset, enhancing efficiency and energy for technological innovation and industrial upgrading in enterprises. The evaluation of enterprise digital asset value (EDAV) is a typical multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) problem. Generalized hesitant fuzzy numbers (GHFNs) can better express the uncertainty and fuzziness of evaluation indexes, thus finding wide applications in MADM problems. In this paper, we first propose the Kullback–Leibler (K-L) divergence distance of GHFNs and prove its mathematical properties. Second, recognizing that decision-makers often have finite rationality in practical problems, we combine the cumulative prospect theory (CPT) with the Complex Proportional Assessment (COPRAS) method to propose the GHF-CPT-COPRAS model for solving MADM problems. Simultaneously, we extend the distance correlation-based Criteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation (D-CRITIC) method to the GHF environment to rationally calculate the weights of attributes in the EDAV evaluation problem. Finally, we apply the proposed GHF-CPT-COPRAS model to the EDAV evaluation problem and compare it with existing GHF decision-making methods to verify its effectiveness and feasibility. This study provides an important reference for addressing the EDAV assessment problem within an uncertain fuzzy environment and extends its application methods in the decision-making field. This article introduces a novel paradigm for enhancing the administration of decisions regarding sustainable energy planning. This is achieved by deploying novel spherical fuzzy aggregation operators that have been meticulously tailored to address the inherent complexities of uncertainty and imprecision prevalent in energy planning datasets. These operators vastly increase the precision and efficacy of decision-making processes, thereby transforming the entire sustainable energy landscape. This study focuses predominantly on the complex domain of multi-attribute decision-making (MADM), in which the interplay of parameters is characterized by a discernible hierarchy of importance. This method generates aggregation operators based on the assignment of non-negative real values to clearly defined priority echelons, a framework known as priority degrees. This effort results in the development of two notable prioritized operators: the “spherical fuzzy prioritized averaging operator with priority degrees” and the “spherical fuzzy prioritized geometric operator with priority degrees”. The efficacy of these conceptual frameworks is vividly demonstrated through the application of extensive case studies, in which observable results clearly demonstrate their superiority over conventional methodologies. The empirical findings unequivocally demonstrate the superiority of the proposed operators, resonating with substantial performance and efficiency improvements. This study not only adds a seminal dimension to the field of sustainable energy management but also reveals a revolutionary application of spherical fuzzy aggregation operators at the forefront of effective decision-making paradigms. The seamless fusion of theoretical innovation and practical utility outlines a path forward, with transformative prospects and far-reaching implications for the sustainable energy landscape. Single-valued neutrosophic sets (SVNSs) can effectively describe the multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) problems which are characterized by incompleteness and uncertainty. Aiming at the MADM problem of SVNSs, a series of methods are proposed to solve the problem, such as the TODIM and PROMETHEE methods. The main idea of the TODIM method is to establish a relative superiority function of scheme relative to other schemes based on the value function of prospect theory, and the ranking of alternatives is determined according to the obtained superiority. In the PROMETHEE method, the decision maker selects the preference function for each attribute according to their preference, and then calculates the priority index, inflow, outflow and net flow according to the difference of the attribute values of scheme, so as to determine the ranking of alternatives. In this paper, a new method based on PROMETHEE and TODIM is proposed to solve the MADM problem under the single-valued neutrosophic environment. Based on the calculation formula of inflow and outflow in PROMETHEE method, and the calculation formula of overall dominance in the TODIM method, a new integrated formula is obtained. Full article

In this study, a new way of criteria selection and a weighting system will be presented in a multi-disciplinary framework. Weighting criteria in Multi-Attribute Decision Making (MADM) has been developing as the most attractive section in the field. Although many ideas have been developed during the last decades, there is no such great diversity that can be mentioned in the literature. This study is looking from outside the box and is presenting something totally new by using big data and text mining in a Prospective MADM outline. PMADM is a hybrid interconnected concept between the Futures Studies and MADM fields. Text mining, which is known as a useful tool in Futures Studies, is applied to create a widespread pilot system for weighting and criteria selection in the PMADM outline. Latent Semantic Analysis (LSA), as an influential method inside the general concept of text mining, is applied to show how a data warehouse’s output, which in this case is Scopus, can reach the final criteria selection and weighting of the criteria. Over the past few centuries, the process of decision-making has become more complicated in different respects. Since the initial phase of Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) around fifty years ago, Multiple Attribute Decision Making (MADM) has continued developing over the years as a sub-concept of MCDM. Noticeably, the importance of the decision-making process is increasingly expanding to such an extent that it necessarily blends into the undeniable processes of MADM actual models. Novel methods with different perspectives have been introduced considering the dynamic MADM concepts of time and future in classical frameworks; however, they do not overcome challenges in practice. Recently, Prospective MADM (PMADM) as a specific approach has presented future-oriented models using already known approaches of MCDM, and it has innovative items which show barriers of classic model of MADM. However, PMADM practically needs more conceptual bases to illustrate and plan the future of real decision-making problems. The Multi-Aspect Criterion is a new concept in mapping the future of the PMADM outline. In this regard, two examples of sustainability will be analyzed, and different requirements and aspects associated with PMADM will be discussed in this study. This new approach can support the PMADM outline in more detail and deal with a decision-making structure that can be considered as novel to industry experts. Full article

Recently, the TODIM has been used to solve multiple attribute decision making (MADM) problems. The single-valued neutrosophic sets (SVNSs) are useful tools to depict the uncertainty of the MADM. In this paper, we will extend the TODIM method to the MADM with the single-valued neutrosophic numbers (SVNNs). Firstly, the definition, comparison, and distance of SVNNs are briefly presented, and the steps of the classical TODIM method for MADM problems are introduced. Then, the extended classical TODIM method is proposed to deal with MADM problems with the SVNNs, and its significant characteristic is that it can fully consider the decision makers’ bounded rationality which is a real action in decision making. Furthermore, we extend the proposed model to interval neutrosophic sets (INSs). Finally, a numerical example is proposed. Full article

Practical decision situations are becoming increasingly complicated. It is common for a person to select or rank alternatives with respect to multiple attributes, and the TODIM (an acronym in Portuguese of interactive and multiple attribute decision making) method, which is one of the first multiple attribute decision making (MADM) methods based on prospect theory, has received more attention due to its great performance in considering the bounded rationality of decision makers (DMs). However, the classical TODIM method can only handle the MADM problems with crisp numbers. In this paper, considering that intuitionistic linguistic variables are convenient to describe uncertain or imprecise information, we propose the intuitionistic linguistic TODIM (IL-TODIM) method and intuitionistic uncertain linguistic TODIM (IUL-TODIM) method to solve uncertain MADM problems with IL and IUL variables, respectively. Additionally, a novel distance measure for IUL numbers is developed, based on which we can obtain the corresponding dominance degree of one alternative over another. Finally, examples are provided to show the validity of the proposed methods, and we also conduct a comparison of the results between the IL-TODIM method and the existing intuitionistic fuzzy MADM methods to illustrate the effectiveness of our proposed methods. As one of the emerging renewable resources, the use of photovoltaic cells has become a promise for offering clean and plentiful energy. The selection of a best photovoltaic cell for a promoter plays a significant role in aspect of maximizing income, minimizing costs and conferring high maturity and reliability, which is a typical multiple attribute decision making (MADM) problem. Although many prominent MADM techniques have been developed, most of them are usually to select the optimal alternative under the hypothesis that the decision maker or expert is completely rational and the decision data are represented by crisp values. However, in the selecting processes of photovoltaic cells the decision maker is usually bounded rational and the ratings of alternatives are usually imprecise and vague. To address these kinds of complex and common issues, in this paper we develop a new interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy behavioral MADM method. We employ interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (IVIFNs) to express the imprecise ratings of alternatives; and we construct LINMAP-based nonlinear programming models to identify the reference points under IVIFNs contexts, which avoid the subjective randomness of selecting the reference points. Finally we develop a prospect theory-based ranking method to identify the optimal alternative, which takes fully into account the decision maker’s behavioral characteristics such as reference dependence, diminishing sensitivity and loss aversion in the decision making process.
