Path integral Monte Carlo simulations and closure computations of quantum fluid triplet structures in the diffraction regime are presented. The principal aim is to shed some more light on the long-standing problem of quantum fluid triplet structures. This topic can be tackled via path integrals in an exact, though computationally demanding, way. The traditional approximate frameworks provided by triplet closures are complementary sources of information that (unexpectedly) may produce, at a much lower cost, useful results. To explore this topic further, the systems selected in this work are helium-3 under supercritical conditions and the quantum hard-sphere fluid on its crystallization line. The fourth-order propagator in the Jang-Jang-Voth’s form (for helium-3) and Cao–Berne’s pair action (for hard spheres) are employed in the corresponding path integral simulations; helium-3 interactions are described with Janzen–Aziz’s pair potential. The closures used are Kirkwood superposition, Jackson–Feenberg convolution, the intermediate AV3, and the symmetrized form of Denton–Ashcroft approximation. The centroid and instantaneous triplet structures, in the real and the Fourier spaces, are investigated by focusing on salient equilateral and isosceles features. To accomplish this goal, additional simulations and closure calculations at the structural pair level are also carried out. The basic theoretical and technical points are described in some detail, the obtained results complete the structural properties reported by this author elsewhere for the abovementioned systems, and a meaningful comparison between the path integral and the closure results is made. In particular, the results illustrate the very slow convergence of the path integral triplet calculations and the behaviors of certain salient Fourier components, such as the double-zero momentum transfers or the equilateral maxima, which may be associated with distinct fluid conditions (e.g., far and near quantum freezing). Closures are shown to yield valuable triplet information over a wide range of conditions, as ascertained from the analyzed centroid structures, which mimic those of fluids at densities higher than the actual ones; thus, closures should remain a part of quantum fluid triplet studies. The use of integral and differential operators in geometric function theory has continued to gain interest among researchers in the field of study in recent times. This is due to the wide range of its applications in science, technology and engineering. In this work, therefore, the authors defined and investigated a new subclass of analytic functions in the open unit disk using the q-Srivastava–Attiya convolution operator and the Jackson’s q-derivative, by means of the subordination. The authors used two well-known lemmas to determine a sharp upper-bound for the Fekete–Szego¨ functional in two different cases. In particular, the authors introduced a new generalized subclass of complex order univalent functions denoted by Lq,b,hsτ,Φ and derived the coefficient estimates aι(ι=2,3) of the Taylor–Maclaurin series in this class, as well as the Fekete–Szego¨ inequality a3a22 for functions in this class. The paper advances the theory of queuing networks by presenting generalized product-form solutions that explicitly take into account the service intensity depending on the number of customers in the network nodes, including the presence of multiple service channels and multi-threaded nodes. This represents a significant extension of the classical results on the Jackson network by integrating graph-theoretic methods, including basic subgraphs with service rates depending on the number of requests. The originality of the article is in the combination of stationary and non-stationary approaches to modeling service networks within a single approach. In particular, acyclic networks with deterministic service time and non-stationary Poisson input flow are considered. Such systems present a significant difficulty, which is noted in well-known works. A stationary model of an open queuing network with service intensity depending on the number of customers in the network nodes is constructed. The stationary network model is related to the problem of marine linear navigation along a strictly defined route and schedule. A generalization of the product theorem with a new form of stationary distribution is developed for it. It is shown that even a small increase in the service intensity with a large number of requests in a queuing network node can significantly reduce its average value. A non-stationary model of an acyclic queuing network with deterministic service time in network nodes and a non-stationary Poisson input flow is constructed. The non-stationary model is associated with irregular (tramp) sea transportation. The intensities of non-stationary Poisson flows in acyclic networks are represented by product formulas using paths between the initial node and other network nodes. The parameters of Poisson distributions of the number of customers in network nodes are calculated. The simplest formulas for calculating such queuing networks are obtained for networks in the form of trees. Full article

Styles are invasive medical devices that are visible on images and are used in several medical specialties, including cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, anaesthesia, oto-rhino-laryngology (ENT), and dentistry. With their thin and flexible design, they allow for the optimal positioning and precise guidance of medical devices such as nerve stimulation, defibrillation, electrode positioning, and catheter insertion. Generally, they are made of stainless steel, offering a combination of rigidity and flexibility. The aim of this study is to evaluate the sensitivity of austenitic stainless steel 304L used for the manufacture of J-stylets in uniform, pitting, crevice, and intergranular corrosion. We follow the manufacturing process step by step in order to analyse the risks of corrosion sensitisation and the cumulative effects of various forms of degradation, which could lead to a significant release of metal cations. Another objective of this study is to determine the optimal heat treatment temperature to minimise sensitivity to the intergranular corrosion of 304L steel. Uniform corrosion: Two samples were taken at each stage of the manufacturing process (eight steps in total), in the form of rods. After one hour of immersion, potentiodynamic polarisation curves were plotted up to ±400 mV vs. SCE. A coulometric analysis was also performed by integrating the anode zone between E (i = 0) and +400 mV vs. SCE. The values obtained by integration are expressed as mC/cm2. The test medium used was a simulated artificial plasma solution (9 g/L NaCl solution). Intergranular corrosion: (a) Chemical test: Thirty rod-shaped samples were tested, representing the eight manufacturing steps, as well as heat treatments at 500 °C, 620 °C, and 750 °C, in accordance with ASTM A262 (F method). (b) Electrochemical Potentiokinetic Reactivation (EPR) according to ASTM G108–94 (2015). Two samples were tested for each condition: without heat treatment and after treatments at 500 °C, 620 °C, and 750 °C. Release of cations: The release of metal ions was evaluated in the following two media: artificial sweat, according to EN 1811:2011+A1:2015, and bone plasma, according to the Fitton-Jackson and Burks-Peck method. Six samples that had been heat-treated at 500 °C for one hour were analysed. Results, discussions: (a) Analysis of the polarisation curves revealed significant disturbances in the heat treatment steps, as well as the μC/cm2 quantities, which were between 150,000 and 400,000 compared to only 40–180 for the other manufacturing steps; (b) Electrochemical Potentiokinetic reactivation (EPR) tests indicated that the temperature of 500 °C was a good choice to limit 304L steel sensitisation in intergranular corrosion; and (c) the quantities of cations released in EN 1811 sweat were of the order of a few μg/cm2 week, as for Fe: 2.31, Cr: 0.05, and Ni: 0.12. The Harnischia generic complex, a significant assemblage within the tribe Chi-ronomini, extensive global sampling and the integration of multi-characteristic data for comprehensive analysis are essential to elucidate the phylogenetic relationships within the Harnischia generic complex. We sequenced, assembled, and annotated the mitochondrial genomes of a single species each from the genera Parachironomus Lenz, Robackia Saether and Saetheria Jackson. Additionally, we incorporated 26 previously published mitogenomes into our analysis to delve deeper into the characteristics of these mitogenomes. Our findings indicate the close affinity between (Cryptochironomus + Demicryptochironomus) and (Harnischia + Microchironomus), aligning consistently with previous research outcomes showing that the Harnischia generic complex and Chironomus are phylogenetically close, and their clade forms a sister group with the Polypedilum generic complex. Based on mitochondrial genome data, Robackia is identified as the basal taxon being relatively primitive, with Parachironomus and Saetheria also appearing as primitive within the complex. Nature-based solutions play an essential role in enhancing urban soil hydrology by improving water retention properties, reducing surface runoff, and improving water infiltration. This bibliometric analysis study reviewed the literature and identified the current trends in research related to nature-based solutions in urban soil hydrology. The study has the potential to highlight current research areas and future hot topics in this specific field. The research used the Scopus database to collect published articles from 1973 to 2023. The keywords (“trees” OR “vegetation” OR “green infrastructure” OR “blue green infrastructure” OR “greenery” OR “nature-based solutions” AND “hydrolog*” AND “urban” OR “city” OR “soil”) were searched in the Scopus database, and 13,276 articles were retrieved. The obtained publications were analyzed for bibliometric analysis by using Bibliometrix (v4.3.0) and VOSviewer (v1.6.20) software. The maximum number of publications (970) related to nature-based solutions and urban soil hydrology was published in 2023. Additionally, countries such as the United States and China published 54.2% of articles of the global research in the field of nature-based solutions and urban soil hydrology, with 36% from the USA and 18.2% of articles from China. The bibliometric analysis depicted that Beijing Normal University led this specific research field with 540 articles. The top country in terms of collaboration was the USA, with 26.17% as compared to the global countries. The most productive researcher identified was Jackson, T.J., as he had the highest number of publications, showing his considerable contribution to the field. Furthermore, the most frequent keywords used in this research area were hydrology, ecosystem services, urban hydrology, remote sensing, nature-based solutions, climate change, runoff, stormwater management, water quality, vegetation, green roof, bioretention, and land use. The early research trending topics in this field from 2015 to 2023 were remote sensing, soil moisture, climate change, drought, green infrastructure, machine learning, and nature-based solutions. The bibliometric analysis identified limited interdisciplinary research integrations, not using well-significant and standardized methodologies for the evaluation of urban soil hydrology, and under-representation of research from developing countries as current research gaps. Future research directions highlight advanced methods such as combining data-driven technologies with traditional hydrological approaches, and increasing international collaboration, specifically in developing nations, to address urban soil hydrological problems properly. Here we study the quantitative multivariate approximation of perturbed hyperbolic tangent-activated singular integral operators to the unit operator. The engaged neural network activation function is both parametrized and deformed, and the related kernel is a density function on RN. We exhibit uniform and Lp, p1 approximations via Jackson-type inequalities involving the first Lp modulus of smoothness, 1p. The differentiability of our multivariate functions is covered extensively in our approximations. We continue by detailing the global smoothness preservation results of our operators. We conclude the paper with the simultaneous approximation and the simultaneous global smoothness preservation by our multivariate perturbed activated singular integrals. Full article

This paper will focus on one way of re-imagining Catholic ethics through the praxis of accompaniment, especially in situations that lend themselves to moral dilemmas and potential justifications of significant harm. The growing integration and shared discourse of scholars from the global south with those from the global north has given rise to deeper ethical insight about the praxis of accompaniment. In turn, I analyze some predominant ways of wrestling with justifications of significant harm or violence, particularly recent contributions by Lisa Sowle Cahill and Kate Jackson-Meyer on moral dilemmas. I build on their contributions by critically reflecting on the praxis of accompaniment in particularly difficult moral situations. I argue that accompaniment offers a way forward that is consistent with and illuminates our dignity as well as the Love of Christ. This approach may better meet needs, break cycles of violence, and lean us into a more sustainable just peace. Full article

The widespread use of novel psychoactive substances (NPSs)—defined as new narcotic or psychotropic agents not classified under the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs of 1961 or the Convention on Psychotropic Substances of 1971—poses a significant challenge to contemporary mental health paradigms due to their impact on psychiatric disorders. This study revisits and expands upon the theory of mental automatism as proposed by Gaëtan Gatian de Clérambault, aiming to elucidate the psychopathological mechanisms underlying substance-induced psychoses (SIP) and their distinction from non-induced psychoses (schizophrenia and related disorders). Through a phenomenological and clinical investigation, we explore the relevance of mental automatism in the development of toxic psychoses, drawing upon the historical and contemporary literature. This research highlights the psychopathological distinctions between induced and non-induced psychoses and the transition mechanisms from acute to chronic psychosis states. De Clérambault’s theory, supplemented by Janet, Jackson, and Bonhoeffer’s contributions, provides a foundational framework for understanding the genesis of SIP. Our findings suggest that NPS consumption, particularly among adolescents and psychiatric patients, significantly correlates with increased risks of SIP, marked by a transition to chronicity influenced by biological lesions triggered by substance use. Furthermore, we propose a comprehensive framework for SIP, integrating mental automatism, psychopathological distinctions, and transition mechanisms. This framework aims to refine diagnostic criteria and therapeutic approaches, addressing gaps in clinical practice and research. The study underscores the need for a nuanced understanding of SIP, advocating for a paradigm shift in psychiatric assessment and treatment approaches to better address the complexities of substance-induced mental health disorders. In this paper, we present a novel class of analytic functions in the form h(z)=zp+k=p+1akzk in the unit disk. These functions establish a connection between the extended Mittag–Leffler function and the quantum operator presented in this paper, which is denoted by q,pn(L,a,b) and is also an extension of the Raina function that combines with the Jackson derivative. Through the application of differential subordination methods, essential properties like bounds of coefficients and the Fekete–Szegő problem for this class are derived. Additionally, some results of special cases to this study that were previously studied were also highlighted. Full article

In this article, we make use of the q-binomial theorem to introduce and study two new subclasses (αq,q) and (α,q) of meromorphic functions in the open unit disk U, that is, analytic functions in the punctured unit disk U=U\{0}={z:zCand0<z<1}. We derive inclusion relations and investigate an integral operator that preserves functions which belong to these function classes. In addition, we establish a strict inequality involving a certain linear convolution operator which we introduce in this article. Several special cases and corollaries of our main results are also considered. Full article

A methodological study of triplet structures in quantum matter is presented. The focus is on helium-3 under supercritical conditions (4 < T/K < 9; 0.022 < ρN/3 < 0.028), for which strong quantum diffraction effects dominate the behavior. Computational results for the triplet instantaneous structures are reported. Path integral Monte Carlo (PIMC) and several closures are utilized to obtain structure information in the real and the Fourier spaces. PIMC involves the fourth-order propagator and the SAPT2 pair interaction potential. The main triplet closures are: AV3, built as the average of the Kirkwood superposition and the Jackson–Feenberg convolution, and the Barrat–Hansen–Pastore variational approach. The results illustrate the main characteristics of the procedures employed by concentrating on the salient equilateral and isosceles features of the computed structures. Finally, the valuable interpretive role of closures in the triplet context is highlighted. Full article

Convex bodies are symmetric in nature. Between the two variables of symmetry and convexity, a correlation connection is also perceptible. Due to the interchangeable analogous properties, the application on either of them has been practicable in these modern years. The current analysis sheds insight on a general new identity involving a number of parameters for a twice partial quantum differentiable function. We find several unique quantum integral inequalities by using the new identity and a twice partial quantum differentiable function whose absolute value is coordinated convex. In addition, we present several novel and interesting error estimation-like results related to the well-known quantum Hermite–Hadamard inequality. Some examples are provided at the end to support and demonstrate the effectiveness of the new outcomes. Full article

Trust is critical to the development and maintenance of effective research collaborations and community engagement. The purpose of this study was to assess the current attitudes and level of trust pertaining to health research among residents of Central Mississippi, the priority health region for the Research Centers in Minority Institutions (RCMI) Center for Health Disparities Research (RCHDR) at Jackson State University. The cross-sectional study was conducted from November 2021 to April 2022. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics carried out by SPSS statistical software. A total of 146 participants responded to the survey. The participants were predominately African American (99%) and female (75%). Historical research studies, the researchers’ qualities, and potential benefits from participation were factors affecting the level of trust in the research process. Ninety percent (n = 131) expressed that it was important to be involved in the research process, and 98.5% (n = 144) agreed that discussing the research findings with the participants was important for establishing trust in the research process. While trust in the research process does not guarantee participation, trust is a precursor for those who decide to engage in health disparities research. Key findings will be integrated into the RCHDR research agenda to foster further development and implementation of innovative community-based participatory research toward the control and/or prevention of diseases that disproportionately affect minority and under-represented populations in Mississippi.
