AVS11 Meeting

Celebrating 21 Years of Virology in Australasia: Past, Present, and Future

Join us (in person) for the 21st anniversary of the Australasian Virology Society in Queensland, Australia. Our meeting serves to showcase basic, translational, and clinical virology and will be attended by leading researchers from Australia, New Zealand, and across the globe.

Founded in 2001, this meeting provides a unique opportunity for the Australasian Virology community to share research, forge new collaborations, and strategise novel approaches to tackle global problems. This year, key topics will include epidemic/pandemic threats; virus–host interactions; agricultural, veterinary, and plant virology; vaccines; therapeutics; and diagnostic developments. These timely topics aim to bridge basic, translational, and clinical research in animal, plant, and human health.

The call for abstracts closes 13 September 2022.

International invited speakers:
Prof Wendy Barclay, Imperial College, London, UK
Prof Jason McLellan, University of Texas, Austin, USA
