Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Numerous epidemiological studies have reported positive associations between air pollution exposure and adverse health effects. In 2023, air pollution caused around 7.9 million premature deaths worldwide, underscoring its status as a leading environmental health risk. Advanced approaches for air pollution exposure and health risk assessment would provide critical insights for targeted air pollution control and proactive public health management.

Authors are invited to submit original research papers, reviews, and short communications on (but are not limited to) the following topics: 1) establishment of fine-resolution spatiotemporal models for air pollution exposure assessment in health studies, 2) deployment and application of portable, low-cost monitors for personal, indoor, and outdoor air quality measurements, 3) use of satellite and ground-based remote sensing for tracking pollution sources, distribution, and trends, 4) advanced techniques for characterizing and quantifying the population health burdens attributable to specific air pollutants, and 5) methodological advances in study design, data linkage, and causal inference for air pollution and health research.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed.
