10th Anniversary
The year 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of Toxics (ISSN 2305-6304), an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal. Toxics has published over 1500 papers by more than 7800 authors, and nearly 3000 reviewers have submitted at least one review report. We appreciate the contributions made by authors and reviewers, which have led to the continued success of our journal. To celebrate this 10th anniversary, we are arranging a series of special content and events. Founding Editor-in-Chief: Prof. Dr. David Bellinger
Prof. Dr. David Bellinger served as the Editor-in-Chief of Toxics from 2013 to 2018. He is a professor of neurology at Harvard Medical School. His research interests are focused on: neurodevelopment; children; epidemiology; metals; brain.Toxics was indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics).
Toxics was indexed in PubMed and Scopus.
The first edition of the Travel Award was announced.
Prof. Dr. Alistair Boxall was appointed as the new Editor-in-Chief for Toxics.
Prof. Dr. Alistair Boxall is a professor of Environmental Science. He is a member of the Defra Advisory Hazardous Substances Advisory Committee and is Chair of the Pharmaceutical Advisory Group of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry. His research focuses on understanding emerging and future ecological and health risks posed by chemical contaminants in the natural environment.Toxics was indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics).
Toxics received its first Impact Factor of 3.271.
The first edition of the Outstanding Reviewer Award was announced.
The first edition of the Best Paper Award was announced.
The first edition of the Young Investigator Award was announced.
Toxics organized the first webinar on 23 September 2020.
Dr. Demetrio Raldúa was appointed as the new Editor-in-Chief for Toxics.
Dr. Demetrio Raldúa is a Group Leader of Scientists at the Spanish Research Council. His research interest is the understanding of the molecular bases of the neurotoxic effects of some environmental pollutants and drugs. By using zebrafish as a vertebrate model, they try to identify the AOPs of neurotoxicants, by linking adverse effects from the molecular-initiating events to behavioral effects.Toxics adopted a monthly publication schedule.
The first edition of the Best Ph.D. Thesis Award was announced.
Toxics published its 1000th paper.
