Recruiting Topic Editors for Safety


Safety (ISSN 2313-576X) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal of industrial and human health safety published quarterly online by MDPI. Safety has been indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI—Web of Science), from Vol. 3, as well as in SafetyLit., and it is covered in Scopus (The CiteScore in 2019 Scopus data is: 1.4; ranked Q2 in the category of "Safety Research"). Safety is recruiting Topic Editor (TE) with research interest in the following areas:

  • Advanced science and technology to improve public and industrial safety and human health (including plant/machine/product design, human–machine interaction, human factors, product processing and manufacturing, packaging, storage and transportation, etc.);
  • Risk assessment (including hazard prevention, control and management);
  • Occupational health and safety;
  • Environmental health and safety;
  • Safe mobility of air, sea and land vehicles (including crashworthiness, biomechanics, human factors, crash prevention, and intelligent transport systems);
  • Security, violence and emergency response;
  • Evidence based policy making and safety philosophy.

The main responsibilities of the Topic Editor (TE) are as follows:

  • Promoting Safety and published papers among your peers via social media or other venues periodically;
  • Suggesting current topics within your research field;
  • Promoting Safety and published papers at conferences that you attend or organize (through materials like flyers or business cards, which can be designed and shipped to your office);
  • Acting as Guest Editor of a Special Issue in your particular field of expertise, or recommending potential topics and Guest Editors.
