The Many-Worlds Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics—Current Status and Relation to Other Interpretations 2022
The MWI solves the measurement problem, avoids action at a distance and indeterminism, and does not contradict empirical evidence. Why, then, it is not in the consensus? The workshop will aim to promote the ongoing debate on the foundations of quantum mechanics by dealing with the major open questions regarding the MWI and its alternatives. The starting point for this workshop is the many-worlds interpretation, namely, the stance that quantum mechanics is everything that has been written about it in textbooks, except for the collapse of wave function. The workshop will bring leading experts working on quantum mechanics and its interpretations to discuss various aspects of the many-worlds interpretation, its alternatives, and its implications.
