Hepatitis Research: Current Trends

Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Hepatitis remains a major global health challenge, affecting hundreds of millions of people and leading to significant morbidity and mortality due to liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. Recent scientific advancements in virology, immunology, and molecular medicine have deepened our understanding of the mechanisms underlying viral hepatitis, paving the way for innovative diagnostic tools, antiviral therapies, and preventive strategies. This Special Issue, Hepatitis Research: Current Trends, will present cutting-edge research exploring the evolving landscape of hepatitis pathogenesis, epidemiology, and treatment.

The scope of this Special Issue covers studies on hepatitis A–E viruses, autoimmune and drug-induced hepatitis, vaccine development, host–pathogen interactions, and emerging therapeutic approaches.
By bringing together multidisciplinary research, this Special Issue will enhance understanding, stimulate collaboration, and accelerate progress to achieve the global goal of eliminating hepatitis.
In this Special Issue, original research, comprehensive reviews, communications, and systematic reviews are welcome.

I look forward to receiving your contributions.
