Special Issue Information
This Special Issue analyses how digitalization affects entrepreneurship and business performance. As some scientific literature suggests, the impact of ICT on business is not homogenous among firms. The answer to this issue is probably to be found in how entrepreneurs and businesses negotiate their relationships with digital activity and the digital ecosystem. In order to further develop this statement, studies that examine the role of this ecosystem in the relationship between business performance and business digitalization will be welcome. This research framework has been built based on stakeholders’ theory. Work that analyses companies or entrepreneurs is very interesting to us. Studies on multiple countries are very interesting in analyzing this situation. The use of the multilevel technique, partial least squares–structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM), or similar is very interesting for this line. The literature has revealed that there is a relationship between business digitalization and performance, but it is necessary to explore this situation more and deeper. The aim of this Special Issue is to contribute with greater knowledge to how ICT and the digital environment affect business performance and beginners' businesses, as well as demonstrate the role that digitalization plays in this relationship
