Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The purpose of this Special Issue is to highlight the new theoretical and experimental research regarding the particularities of friction, lubrication and skin degradation in general and human skin in particular. Topics of interest include the application of tribological knowledge and principles to the creation of artificial fingers, prostheses for amputated limbs and robot manipulation devices. The tribological processes of the skin are extremely complex as a result of the multidisciplinarity of the phenomena and as a result of the different evaluation scales. Papers exploring applications regarding the positive effects of rubbing human fingers with different forms of surfaces and artificial material are welcome for submission to this Special Issue.
