Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Recent advancements in multimedia imaging and content security technologies are transforming digital experiences by enabling both enhanced content creation and robust protection. As multimedia content becomes increasingly integrated into both personal and professional domains, the need for innovative imaging techniques that also secure this content has never been more critical. The rapid growth in the creation and consumption of digital media calls for not only high-quality content generation and sophisticated processing but also solutions that ensure the protection of content integrity. This dual demand for enhanced creativity and robust security is now driving developments in areas such as secure content creation, manipulation, and distribution. These advancements span various sectors, including entertainment, healthcare, education, and industrial applications, where digital media is central to the delivery of services and experiences.

The integration of multimedia imaging with content security is opening new frontiers in how content is produced, shared, and protected. By converging these two fields, new opportunities are emerging for creating secure, high-quality digital experiences that maintain privacy and integrity. This Special Issue aims to explore and showcase innovations that lie at this intersection, covering topics such as multimedia generative and foundation models, multimedia interpretability and explainability, multimedia retrieval and search, content authentication and verification, privacy and security in multimedia systems, watermarking and fingerprinting for digital media, and digital rights management.
