| 2010 | The multidisciplinary DReAM Laboratory (Disease, Research and Applied Medicine) is established through collaboration between the University of Salento and the Local Health Authority (ASL Lecce), with the aim of promoting translational and interdisciplinary research connecting basic science and clinical medicine. |
| 2017 | Journal of Interdisciplinary Research Applied to Medicine (JDReAM) is founded as a scientific publishing initiative developed within the framework of the DReAM Laboratory. The journal is launched by the University of Salento in collaboration with ASL Lecce, with the objective of providing an interdisciplinary platform for research integrating biomedical sciences and clinical practice. |
| 2017–2021 | JDReAM publishes several issues, up to Volume 5, Issue 1 (2021), featuring contributions from multiple disciplines related to human health, including epidemiology, biomedical sciences, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation. The journal promotes dialogue among researchers from medicine, biology, biotechnology, public health, statistics, engineering, and other relevant scientific areas. |
| 2021 | Publication activities are temporarily discontinued due to editorial and organizational restructuring, with the intention of relaunching the journal within a broader international publishing framework. |
| 2026 | Publication of JDReAM was transferred to MDPI (new owner) from Volume 6, Issue 1 (2026). |
