Section Information
This Section is dedicated to advancing research in the area of Industrial Informatics, which embraces industrial automation, digitalization, and optimization in manufacturing operations and processes. The availability of data has allowed the advent of the Industry 4.0 revolution, leading to improved manufacturing operations and increased efficiency. The objective of the Section is to draw together specialists who are engaged in research, development, and teaching of industrial informatics in academia and healthcare settings. Contributions, such as original research articles, reviews, mini reviews, letters, and communications, on all aspects of industrial informatics (such as industrial communications, industrial IoT, machine learning/artificial intelligence applied to industrial processes and operations, industrial robotics, collaborative robotics, and additive manufacturing, among others), will be considered. We invite researchers to submit manuscripts dealing with different aspects of industrial informatics.
